Our first object we have attempted to ensure by citing the original authorities, and letting the old Rishis speak for themselves. The second we have endeavoured to attain by availing ourselves in some measure of the arguments which the advocates of contending schools have used against each other. We have thus impressed Kanada, Kapila, Ramanuja, to do battle for us against the Vedant, and taken advantage of Sankaracharya's powerful battery against the Nyaya and the Sankhya.
