Mama’s back—so chaos can’t be far behind! This rip-roaring, hilarious, high-octane race to beat the stork begins when Walker Sprunt’s wife, Hayley, goes into labor with their first child. The problem? She’s in Alabama, and he is in L.A., trying his best to get through a surprise visit from his meddling mother and his bossy big sister, Savannah, when he gets the call. Unfortunately, an air traffic controllers’ strike has just begun across the nation and Walker is at a loss for what to do. But his Mama, as usual, is not. And when she proclaims “Family Road Trip!,” Walker, from experience, knows disaster can’t be far behind. And is he ever right—as the clock ticks, Mama and her squabbling offspring jump in a car and sprint across two thousand miles of America and through its most unbelievably eccentric and colorful communities, and comedic chaos follows them everywhere. Despite experiencing zany alien encounters near Roswell, New Mexico, witnessing an uproarious last-minute wedding with off-their-rockers relatives, participating unwillingly in a high-speed police chase across Texas, surviving a churning river on a daiquiri party barge, and even escaping a wild New Orleans Mardi Gras night court, this exuberantly desperate trio drive on, determined to make it to Alabama before the new baby is born. And heaven help anyone who gets in Mama’s way, because she WILL be in Birmingham in time for the birth of her first grandchild! This flat-out-funny Jones Hope Wooten comedy will get your motors racing as it delivers miles of smiles and loads of laughs!

Kerr challenges stereotypes in this story about a fifteen-year-old grappling with his older sister’s sexuality Parr Burrman lives with his parents and his older brother and sister on a farm in Missouri. They’re a typical Midwestern family—except for one thing. Parr’s father thinks Evie’s going to marry Cord Whittle, who’s had a crush on her forever, and settle down in their hometown to help out with the farm. Instead, she falls in love with Patsy Duff, the gorgeous, privileged daughter of the banker who holds the mortgage on the Burrmans’ property. When rumors start flying about Evie and Patsy, Parr has to contend with the derision of his classmates . . . and when he falls for a girl from a fundamentalist family who fears homosexuality like God’s wrath, he must face his own conflicted emotions. Soon, Parr’s parents—and the whole town—will know the truth about Evie. But it’s Parr who has to deal with the burden of shame when his own behavior leads to a shattering betrayal . . . and a secret he’ll carry to the grave. Written with grace, humor, and love, and featuring sympathetic characters you won’t soon forget, Deliver Us from Evie is a compassionate, vividly evocative novel by a master storyteller. Growing up in Hugo, Oklahoma, a small rural community in southeast Oklahoma, there was always a Sunday program or some kind of event going on at the church; anniversaries, special days, revivals, musicals, funerals, etc. In the Afro-American community, we looked forward to having dinner on the grounds, and often staying at church all day. Anytime there were programs and special occasions that were occurring, a welcome had to be said to welcome visitors and guests, or if invited to other churches, a response had to be given in thanks of their invitation. My Mama, wrote numerous addresses for these special days. She was an outstanding writer, orator, missionary, fourth grade school teacher, and the best of moms. This book was written to show off my mothers writing abilities, and more so to give others the opportunity to see how these presentations should be written for their upcoming times of needs. For all readers of this book, May God bless you.

At one point in our history, children all over the world began each weekday communicating with God through prayer at school. God has been deemed unconstitutional and forced to leave our schools. Now, our schools and colleges have become infiltrated with demonic spirits. These demonic spirits have manifested characters of their spiritual wickedness in our children. Mama Jo's Book of Prayers: A Prayer for Almost Every Situation Including Scriptures for Study and Meditation will be the tool God uses to get His people back in prayer. Envision with me, millions of people on one accord studying and meditating on God's Word, praying for more than thirty situations at a time. Mama Jo's Book of Prayers: A Prayer for Almost Every Situation Including Scriptures for Study and Meditation will enable me to be a voice to the masses to deter most of the fiery darts Satan throws by the name of family destruction, bondage, divorce, violence, and others. It is time we come together to pray to stop setting records for acts of violence within our communities. We must fervently pray for our children to surpass records of doing well in school, preparing for a brighter future. Let us make a concerted effort to greet each other with a smile and a hello daily. Remember much prayer, much power. Little prayer, little power. No prayer, no power.

In the late 1970s, retired Grimsby schoolmaster, Harry Goulding, wrote his memoirs, longhand, on sheets of paper rescued from a skip and they lay for many years in the safe-keeping of his grandchildren until they were transcribed into two books; the first (this book) detailing his childhood days up until the end of his college days; the second, 'Man's Estate, ' chronicling his often-turbulent career as an eccentric schoolmaster in Grimsby. In 'Henry the Ninth' we learn of the poverty of his childhood; the struggle to supplement his 1/2d per week pocket money; the rat-catching and the pig-keeping; his annual trips on the trawlers; the yearning for independence from his domineering father; the family war over his grandfather's will; his struggles at school; and his eventual and reluctant choice of profession, among many other incidents, happy and bitter. In addition, his story represents a valuable local history insight into life in the poor quarter of Grimsby in the early part of the twentieth century.
