The proposition was cordially welcomed by the people of the Town, and at a meeting held August 7 th, 1863, Hon. J.Wiley Edmands, Henry Bigelow, M.D., Hon. Wm. Claflin, Hon. Thomas Rice, Jr., Hon.D.
