This little book is a story of my life through poetry and photographs. I am very vulnerable and raw, as I discover who I am. It is broken down into 3 parts. Part 1 is Genesis, where I begin the process. I write down whatever comes to mind. Words come easily, as I struggle to find my voice. I begin to unleash my inner demons. I get the idea to publish a book. Many years later I make it a reality. Part 2 is Exodus, where I continue to write. I am busy with life being married and raising two daughters. Like most woman, my dream is put on the back burner. It is always on my mind. Part 3 I am evolving, growing more spiritually. I am healing my past and moving forward. My writing takes on deeper connections. Often the words just flow through me; I am just the vessel. The Vision to get my work published resurfaces from deep within my being. A title is revealed to me, "Dancing With my Soul." My spirit continues to expand, becoming one with all that is.Life is a dance with the divine, fully expressing each moment. In order to open up to this dance and live, we must become aware of the glorious beauty that exists everywhere around us. When we are alive in nature, we bring joy into our hearts, allowing it to become the dance. We then embrace this dance through the indwelling presence that is, by our spiritual integrity, balance, and harmony, becoming one with it.

Is true love a physical element, or can it be something above and beyond the human experience in the physical world? This is a collection of poetry describing a love outside the box, outside human logic, and outside human interpretation due to fear of ones own sexuality. Is true love sexual due to the physical need? Is it possible one suffers because of labels and the lack of understanding of the true meaning of Gods love? The poet walks us through a pure paradise on earth untouched by Adam and Eve, untouched by judgment and criticism. The soul is untouched by masculinity and femininity. The soul, which is bodiless, knows no boundaries once it is connected with another soul. This is a pure dance that can be eternal once its touched by the intangible eros.

In this thought-provoking and sensitive book, a noted Jungian scholar explores the deepest elements in the American psyche that need healing to bring forth the best in both of the worlds we walk in: the highly differentiated and technologically developed Western civilization and the indigenous native "soul" that is the essence of each human being. The author demonstrates that this soul is forcefully represented in America in the experience of the Native American peoples and their relationship to the land and to the ancient "indigenous one" at the heart of our human rights. The author explores not only the best of Native American spiritual thought to rediscover that soul, but also the terrible psychic damage done to later settlers by five hundred years of violence against the original peoples. He sketches positive directions that will create a partnership between the two worlds of our past and bring them together in a "dance" that will encourage a more redemptive spiritual order+

"In the Technicolor glow of the early seventies, Jessica B. Harris debated, celebrated, and danced her way from the jazz clubs of the Manhattan's West Side to the restaurants of the Village, living out her buoyant youth alongside the great minds of the day--luminaries like Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, and Toni Morrison. [This memoir] is her paean to that ... social circle and the depth of their shared commitment to activism, intellectual engagement, and each other"--Publisher marketing.
