Creation's Heartbeat aims to - interest and provoke students of the Bible and the Talmud, and open up fresh debate - challenge those who are interested in deep codes and puzzles - illustrate the fruitfulness of adopting Hebraic approaches to understanding the Bible. Creation's Heartbeat studies the first four words of Genesis using traditional techniques. The enquiry adheres to strict principles and is tightly focused, with a battery of tests applied to its findings. Part Two looks at each word and its contents, alternative ways of reading the words in combination, and at the rhythm of letters. Step by step, the pieces of the puzzle are assembled. A recurring pattern and twin themes emerge which point to a profound resolution. Part Three sets out the Bible's entry code. This helps unlocks our understanding of creation's moral and physical foundation. The design is hidden for our sake. Its completion awaits our decision. In its journey, the enquiry: [reveals an eternal sign [decodes the first name of God in the Bible [identifies the first adjective describing the nature of God [unpacks the title of the first book in the Torah [shows hidden names of God [casts fresh light on key Biblical texts.

Offers an exciting new way to understand the instinctual energies that affect us in our search for wholeness & healing & in our confrontation of our fears & expression of our creativity. Moved & inspired by a dream of a woman who runs with a herd of pregnant reindeer, she devoted years to the exploration of the reindeer in nature & as an archetype of feminine instinctual energy -- a living symbol that can inspire both men & women. This is the story of her search for the reindeer spirit, as she traveled to Siberia to live with nomadic reindeer people, to Lapland to learn of the shamanic Sami culture, & to Alaska to search for migrating caribou.

This book focuses on a prototype of creative causal processes termed BIOS and how the concept can be applied to the physical world, in medicine and in social science. This book presents methods for identifying creative features in empirical data; studies showing biotic patterns in physical, biological, and economic processes; mathematical models of bipolar (positive and negative) feedback that generate biotic patterns. These studies support the hypothesis that natural processes are creative (not determined) and causal (not random) and that bipolar feedback plays a major role in their evolution. Simple processes precede, coexist, constitute and surround the complex systems they generate (priority of the simple). In turn, complex processes feedback and transform simpler ones (supremacy of the complex).

Do horses make choices? How do they seem to know what people are thinking and feeling? Are horses spiritual beings with a destiny all their own? If so, how is this destiny connected with humanity's future? How does the equine mind compare with the human mind? What do horses have to teach people? And why are women so attracted to horses? These are some of the questions writer and equine therapist Linda Kohanov explores in her extraordinary book The Tao of Equus. In it she intertwines the story of the spiritual awakening she experienced with her black mare Rasa with compelling neurological research, cultural history, mythology, and first-hand anecdotes from years of teaching and facilitating equine therapy. She delves into the mental and spiritual processes behind the magical connections people, and women in particular, often experience with horses. She skillfully describes the subtle behavioral nuances horses express and perceive — what she calls the "wisdom of the prey" — as well as a feminine wisdom found in her powerful interactions with horses, bringing to the page subtleties that women riders have intuited for centuries. Blending her extraordinary experience — what some would consider paranormal — with a wide-ranging survey of the phenomena of horse-human communication, Kohanov delivers a ground-breaking work sure to interest both longtime riders and readers interested in the leading edge of animal perception and animal-human communication.

This book explores how social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp ‘accidentally’ enable and nurture the creation of digital afterlives, and, importantly, the effect this digital inheritance has on the bereaved. Debra J. Bassett offers a holistic exploration of this phenomenon and presents qualitative data from three groups of participants: service providers, digital creators, and digital inheritors. For the bereaved, loss of data, lack of control, or digital obsolescence can lead to a second loss, and this book introduces the theory of ‘the fear of second loss’. Bassett argues that digital afterlives challenge and disrupt existing grief theories, suggesting how these theories might be expanded to accommodate digital inheritance. This interdisciplinary book will be of interest to sociologists, cyber psychologists, philosophers, death scholars, and grief counsellors. But Bassett’s book can also be seen as a canary in the coal mine for the ‘intentional’ Digital Afterlife Industry (DAI) and their race to monetise the dead. This book provides an understanding of the profound effects uncontrollable timed posthumous messages and the creation of thanabots could have on the bereaved, and Bassett’s conception of a Digital Do Not Reanimate (DDNR) order and a voluntary code of conduct could provide a useful addition to the DAI. Even in the digital societies of the West, we are far from immortal, but perhaps the question we really need to ask is: who wants to live forever?
