COVID-19 offers a unique opportunity to transform the K–12 social studies curriculum, but history suggests that changes to the formal curriculum will not come easily or automatically. International trade is highly affected by mycotoxin contaminations, which result in an annual 5% to 10% loss of global crop production. This book provides a global perspective on COVID-19, taking the heterogenous realities of the pandemic into account.
