IT'S MY SOUL, MY MOVEMENT, MY WAY! The Afro-American has a strong culture of soul that goes far back past our enslavement in America. It is that spirit that keeps us strong. Poet Jeffrey Perry speaks as an ex-slave (descendant) who realizes the true impact that slavery, Jim Crow laws and all our struggles had and continue to have on the Black psyche and nature. These trials have been circumvented by an understanding of the soul of African people. It has been faith, love of God or just life itself that keeps us keeping on! Conversations with a Soul Brother is a calling to embrace our past, present and future with a love of our spirit. It is Jeffrey's soul that is heard in his words.

Born with a birth defect, bullied, called names, abused, sexually betrayed, declared mentally depressed and physically disabled. All these sound like the promos for the latest soap opera, if it wasn't the truth. Cheerful, enthusiastic, self-giving, faithful, and resilient also describe the man in this book. For anyone who has experienced these or similar events in their lives this book is must-read. The above described man long ago would have imploded physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually had it not been for his best friend relationship from infancy with Jesus Christ, only Son of God the Father.

As the child/ren grow/s and has/have dreams of an identical youth playing in non-recognizable settings, he/they begin/s to realize that he/they is/are one of four IDENTICALS. He/they each grow/s up in very different environments, develop professions, marry, and have children. Eventually, after a long, difficult, and frustrating quest which includes a unique night time spirit/soul communication, they find each other. As they learn how they came to be, four identical quadruplets from four different mothers, the question arises: should they take the culprit fertility clinic to court for causing this tragedy? they are giant freaks. Should they do nothing; or should they sue the clinic for big money and become famous, which would certainly disgrace their parents and friends. If they reach a four family agreement concerning anonymity or notoriety, but before the final decision is implemented one or more dies or is killed, then what happens to their common soul, or are there partial souls? Where does/do it/they go? Is there a waiting area near heaven or hell for partial souls? Is it possible that all of these 'lives' and 'arrangements' are totally controlled by soul maestros? And if so, why and how do they do this?

THIS work is a meeting of the minds. People of different political and ideological beliefs articulate their positions on the question of race in the United States that has bedeviled the nation since its founding. Conservatives, liberals and independents as well as those who don't have any political affiliation or ideological positions exchange views, debate, offer suggestions and provide solutions to race problems facing the United States. There are those who contend that the United States does not have a race problem. It is individuals who have problems and they are the ones who complain about racism blaming society for their own failures in life. Their problems have nothing to do with race. Then there are those who say the United States has a race problem but it is not a major one as it once was. Others contend that racism is one of the biggest and most urgent problems facing the nation. Immigrants from all parts of the world also express their views and beliefs from different political and ideological perspectives on a subject that has divided the nation and continues to be one of the most contentious in the history of the country. There are immigrants who don't see racism as a major problem in the United States even if they admit it exists. There are those who agree with many Americans that racism still exists and it is a major problem. Although immigrants, they also offer solutions to a problem that, from their own experience, is a major one and should be addressed to achieve racial equality. White nationalists also take part in the discussions on race, exchanging views with conservatives, liberals, independents and immigrants. They explain their position and offer solutions to the race question, some of which don't differ much from the solutions proposed by some people who would be considered to be an integral part of the mainstream and not on the fringes of the American society. There is no consensus on the final solution to the race problem, or an answer to the race question, in the United States. But there is some agreement on some race issues that cuts across racial and ideological lines, for example, with some black immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean articulating positions that are in conformity with the positions of those who are in the conservative movement, contrary to what most black Americans believe. Other immigrants, including black ones, are squarely within the liberal tradition of the Democratic party. And there are those who don't embrace Republican or Democratic positions but take an independent position on race matters that is also different from the position taken by independents in the American political mainstream. The race question may be far from being resolved. But the views, proposals ans solutions presented in this book may help to point in the right direction toward a final solution to the problem that the United States has faced since slavery.

UNDERSTANDING "OBEDIENCE" Poetry is a voice that must to be heard. It is a cry from all our spirits for civility. When the spirit wants to speak, it will not be denied, as it is within each one of us. However, when our spirit needs be heard, it is not just that simple, because we have a spirit that is free to choose to listen or not listen. It is what we understand as "our will." We always protect this freedom to be who we are, and we remain obedient always to its every beckon and call. However, obedience to our will or to what we perceive as right can be a hard task for us. Obedience is our choice to listen to ourselves no matter what others might say is true. Nevertheless, God's love, our passion for his will directs us in so choosing. The union of our spirit with God is what guides us, even protects us, in maintaining and sustaining our obedience. Obedience to Poetry (2.0) is a collection of new poetry. Its theme focuses on the subject of obedience to the spirit, and thus, many of the poems, in essence are spiritual in nature.
