Considered the precursor to chemistry, the field of alchemy stretches back to ancient history, and as it evolved, became inevitably entangled with witchcraft and magic. To keep their work secret and protect it from theft, alchemists wrote in fascinating and sometimes intricate symbols representing every element, substance, compound, process, unit and intervention. These markings are esoteric in nature and historically important, being that together, they hold the potential for the key to the creation of the Philosopher's Stone itself. Understand the concepts of Magnus Opus, Prima Materia, Tria Prima, Classical Elements, Seven Planetary Metals and Ritualistic Magic in alchemy, together with a multitude of alchemical symbols within this book, suitable for people new to the field of alchemy.

This is the fourth edition of Alchemical Symbols. The purpose of this revision is to add more symbols, correct a small number of errors, and improve the overall layout of the text. We believe this to be the most comprehensive presentation of alchemical symbols available. Portions of the following symbol tables appeared in the "Last Will and Testament" of Basilius Valentinus in the seventeenth century. That table has been augmented with symbols from other sources including the "Alchemist's Handbook" by Frater Albertus, Dom Antoine Joseph Pernety's "The Great Art," Stanislas Klossowski de Rola's "Alchemy: The Secret Art," information taken from the works of Agrippa and John Read, symbols from the Bacstrom Manuscripts, and many other sources. For details please see the References section. The second part of this work is a dictionary of basic Gematria. For those desirous of seeking possible hidden meaning in the alchemistical writings through the Qabalah, the Hebrew of key alchemically-oriented words is presented along with the numerical equivalences. Following that is a short Glossary of Latin Terms of interest to students of alchemy, tables of common conversion factors, and a list of abbreviations.

Download Ancient Celtic Symbols and Their Meanings Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Celtic symbols were created by the Celts, a race of tribes, who lived in settlements across Europe, from Ireland to Turkey, notably during the Iron Age. Evidence of their culture reaches back further than 1200 BC. These people were thought to have a common language and shared systems of belief, despite living far and wide and they are believed to have been both traders and warriors. While they did not initially have a written language, they did create metal and stone work with patterns that are recognisable today as Celtic symbols. These shapes and patterns have been influenced by different religions, beliefs and cultures ever since, such as Druids and Christians. As a result, when we look at the symbols, there are often more than one variation of the same symbol, and similarly, often more than one meaning attached to it. This book is perfect for people new to the subject of Celtic symbology, with illustrations, relevant meanings and descriptions of the many myths and legends attached to them.

This book offers an explanation to all the dynamics of life, allowing anyone the possibility to analyze the past but also predict any future outcome in any give situation and for any known person. Life always follows the same alchemical rules, which are explained by symbols and structures within the logic of our own planet. When we understand them and how they apply in the manifestations of the reality we experience, we can actually gain a higher conscience of self and more responsibility over our actions. And this is the attitude that will then allow much more success, as well as the courage to deal with failure more peacefully. The opposites of good and evil, past and future, heart and mind, good and bad, success and failure, are continually in interaction, despite our personal will and efforts, and it's for this reason that illusions trap us inside the deceptive idea that the material world and what we have represent things that remain permanent in time. The only thing that is permanent is conscience, our love for spiritual awareness. Everything else transforms and tends to adapt according to our experiences and understanding, from good to better or worse, depending on our decisions. A decision is never important by itself but in its relation to the outcome and the desire behind it, and that's what this book intends to show by using very ancient religious principles. This is a book about magic, even though it explains how we can create and observe it with logic, will and love.
