This is necessary in order that when they become of adult age they may be prepared to exhibit wisdom in the cabinet; the purest patriotism; the highest integrity, public and private; morals without a stain; and religious feelings without intolerance and without extravagance. In this little manual of the rights and duties of citizenship I sing the love of country and the pride of country to the youth of both sexes of my country.
