"This document describes selected shoreline structures in Maryland's portion of the Chesapeake Bay, and discusses the physical processes of coastal erosion which affect their performance. The information that has been collected as part of this study was used to answer some important questions about shore erosion: 1. What geologic and hydrologic factors affect erosion and the performance of structures along the different types of Bay shoreline in Maryland? 3.
