Brown Landone was one of the first teachers of the scientific understanding of material and immaterial achievements in life. For his first 13 years he lived the usual routine of an invalid. Then his life changed dramatically. Although virtually helpless by many medical accounts, he was able to carry a heavy metal crate down five flights of stairs when he was left alone and a house fire broke out. Afterwards, young Landone knew that his subconscious had made it happen somehow. He figured that if he could do it on a subconscious level, he could certainly do it on a conscious level. This book is an important guide for those who have decided to use the immense power of their Subconscious and make a positive and decisive change in their lives.

_________________ 'Macdonald zeros in on the slipperiness of factuality, offering an array of case studies from the worlds of history, commerce and - of course - politics.' New York Times True or false? It's rarely that simple. There is always more than one truth in every story. Eating meat is nutritious but it's also damaging to the environment. The Internet disseminates knowledge but it also spreads hatred. As communicators, we select the truths that are most useful to our agenda. We can select truths constructively to inspire nations, encourage children, and drive progressive change. Or we can select truths that give a false impression of reality, misleading people without actually lying. Others can do the same, motivating or deceiving us with the truth. In Truth, communications strategy expert Hector Macdonald explores how truth is used and abused in politics, business, the media and everyday life. Combining great storytelling with practical takeaways and a litany of fascinating, funny and insightful case studies, Truth is a chilling and engaging read about how profoundly our mindsets and actions are influenced by the truths that those around us choose to tell. For fans of Factfulness,A Field Guide to Lies and StatisticsandThe Art of Thinking Clearly, a fascinating dive into the many ways in which 'competing truths' shape our opinions, behaviours and beliefs.

Reality is the one word that describes everything we live in, everything we know, knew, and will. It represents time, space, and all the other possible dimensions. But what exactly is reality? In his book, The Bitter Truth of Reality, author Mahmoud Elsayed attempts to answer this complex query by taking a journey through physics, biology, human anatomy, history, philosophy, and even religions. Hopefully, by the end of this book, the reader will find an answer to this question that sits at the top of the existential questions list. It also offers an opportunity for its readers to come to terms with being an ordinary human within the shadow of the grand scheme of all existence. Humanity currently lives in a time when rationality is prioritized above everything else. We define reality by what our minds process to be true from data our senses can provide us. As a result, each of us treats any idea, belief, or experience that fails logic as impossible or flawed. But should humanity put faith in how our limited biology interprets reality around us, and can we rely on our minds to tell us everything there is to know about us, our universe - or even what's outside of it? This book describes how mankind, in search of objective insight, has entrusted science with the duty of filtering reality from the surreal. However, in place of answers, scientific inquiry might be doomed to discover only more questions. In the end, how can we tell apart what is real, and how does this change what we know about ourselves? The more we develop as a species, the more questions we will ask about the truth of our existence. Are we here on purpose? Or are we the result of some cosmic accident? More inquires and discussions in The Bitter Truth of reality.

Our world has been maintaining a destructive path for humankind with our continued use of force to resolve human issues. We are continuing to move downhill toward greater violence. To stop violence, we must build healthier personal and social worldviews. A quest for the truth beyond the self, community, and our worldviews needs to be implemented. We will need to improve our ability to think rationally. Most of all, we will need to learn how to intelligently use God's gift of freedom. Since our personal worldviews are our standards of reference for truth for designing and building our worldviews, we can only reach for and estimate the truth through non-threatening dialogue. We have been conditioned to forcefully defend fixed worldviews, which are not healthy. Healthier worldviews are needed to implement non-violent, intentional change to the worldviews of every individual, every organization, every community, and every dominating system. Healthier worldviews would lead to an integrated translormatiun of science, religion, education, and government. All worldviews need to be more inclusive of relevant information and be internally consistent. They need to represent the truth of reality as well as the truth in reality. Each personal worldview is that person's standard of reference for truth, whenever that person makes a decision. We tend to fix our worldviews with claims of certainty, rather than stable assumptions of truth. Such fixed standards are not adequate to bring peace to this world. We must learn to intentionally look beyond these fixed standards to estimate and seek the truth of what those worldviews ought to be in the future. No information should be seen as value free and independent of morality. We all use our personal worldviews when making moral decisions. Our worldviews all need to change periodically in order to incorporate continuing non-violent intentional change to our beliefs and values. A meaningful worldview builds a representation of reality upon a set of assumptions of truth. Reason demands non-contradiction, but it cannot promise a healthy worldview. This book shows how to make them healthy. Comments or questions about the book? Email the author at [email protected] or check out his website http://changeworldview.blogspot.com.

Waking To Truth describes why there are so many problems and personal unhappiness in the world today. The core problem stems from the fact that people are not properly using the power of their minds, which is the greatest resource, we possess. When we do not use our mind properly then we think and act based on distortions, partial truths and at times, illusions. This is the prime cause of the turmoil effecting the society as well as our personal lives. Waking To Truth explains that by learning to see truth in all we experience we will be properly using the power of our minds. At the same time learning the truth will lead us to a higher level of consciousness, which will free us from the burdens, and limitations that have restricted our true freedom. It will be seen that Truth is our highest state of mind.

Its scary to know that we have no control over anything except ourselves, and yet, this truth is our greatest strength. You see, everything changes as we change. We see, hear, understand and experience differently through new beginnings. When we choose knowing truth over illusions, we naturally accelerate our growth through the unconditional loving support which has been with us always. There is so much that our Universe wants us to know about who we really are and what we can achieve! Perhaps we have misunderstood the purpose of our pain and the many injustices we have experienced already. Truth easily brings correction and supports a natural balance. As our perspectives shift through what is truth, the love, compassion, empathy and patience within us expands outwards, creating new loving beginnings for our relationships and experiences.
