Excerpt from Center Rush Rowland The speaker removed a straw hat, rather the worse for wear, and mopped a damp forehead, while a youngster with a freckled face, who was engaged in lowering an awning in front of a grocery store, paused and viewed the inquirer with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. Eventually he jerked a thumb northward. Two blocks straight ahead, he answered. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. With this irresistibly fresh debut about a set of twins in their first year of college in Ireland, Julian Gough ("Roddy Doyle in an extremely good mood." —The Washington Post Book World) has established himself as Ireland's most delightful new voice in fiction. Juno and Juliet Taylor are both beautiful blondes, but Juliet is convinced that Juno is the more beautiful, as well as the more intelligent, charming, worldly, and wise. Yet neither feels any sense of rivalry, which is good, given that their freshman year turns out to be more than either could handle alone. Juno has an erratic artist for a boyfriend and is stalked by a pervert who sends anonymous letters. And Juliet is in love with her grad-student tutor, who is stymied by her youth and preoccupied with his dying father. Hilarious and tender, ribald and smart, Juno & Juliet is a refreshing romp with two sisters whose love and devotion are infectious.

A STORY OF GOD AND ALL OF US is a sweeping narrative that dramatises some of the most important events and characters in the Bible. The book reads like a fine novel, dramatising the sweep of biblical events, making the men and women of scripture come alive in vivid detail and dialogue. All are historically and theologically accurate. The Bible, a ten-hour mini-series on the History Channel will be based on the story, and the script has been reviewed by a number of Christian church leaders and seminarians for authenticity. Many prominent biblical characters will be portrayed in the story: Moses, David, Daniel, John the Baptist and of course, Jesus. The book will also highlight the prophetic significance of the empires that controlled Israel (Egyptians, Babylonians, Persians and Romans), as well as the many Old Testament prophecies of the Messiah.
