The authors report on recent results from the Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF) experiment, which is accumulating data from proton-antiproton collisions with {radical}s = 1.96 TeV at Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron. The new phenomena being explored include Higgs, Supersymmetry, and large extra dimensions. They also present the latest results of searches for heavy objects, which would indicate physics beyond the Standard Model.

We present recent results of searches for new physics in 110 pb{sup - 1} of p{anti p} collisions at √s = 1800 GeV using the CDF detector. Presented are searches for third generation leptoquarks, charged and neutral Higgs bosons and the supersymmetric partner of the top quark ({tilde t}). A search for new physics in diphoton events tests some models attempting to explain the CDF è̀e??E{sub T} ̀̀event. Finding no signal in any of these channels, production limits are presented.

We present the results of the searches for new phenomena in pp collisions at √s=1.8 TeV with the CDF detector using the full data sample of 110 pb−1 collected between 1992 and 1995. We have searched for new physics in events with two photons, testing some of the hypotheses proposed to explain the appearance of the CDF ee[gamma][gamma] E{sub T} event. New results on the search for a heavy neutral scalar object, charged Higgs bosons (H{sup {+-}}) and the scalar top quark are presented. Finally we summarize the CDF results on the search for third generation leptoquarks.

We present results of recent searches for new physics using the CDF detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. Presented are searches for Higgs →??, as well as more general searches in?? + X where X is /E{sub T}, jets, charged leptons, b-quarks or extra photons. The CDF ee??/E{sub T} candidate event is discussed along with estimates of the expected rates in the Standard Model. Other searches for SUSY, Higgs and Technicolor look for particles which decay to vector bosons and b-quarks.

This paper summarizes results of recent searches for new phenomena with the CDF and D0 detectors at the Fermilab Tevatron. All results shown correspond to analysis from the past Run I data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of (approximately) 100 pb−1 per experiment. In particular, the authors show new results from stop quark searches, neutral supersymmetric Higgs boson searches, a reinterpretation of the CDF second and third generation leptoquark searches in terms of leptoquark resonant production through technicolor interactions and, finally, they report a new D0 search for large extra space dimensions from high mass Drell-Yan dielectron and diphoton events.

We present recent results from CDF in the search for new phenomena appearing in the top quark samples. These results use data from p{bar p} collisions at {radical}s = 1.96 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity ranging from 195 pb{sup -1} to 760 pb{sup -1}. No deviations are observed from the Standard Model expectations, so upper limits on the size of possible new phenomena are set.

'Dorigo provides an engaging and insightful perspective on the pursuit of physics discoveries at CDF … Dorigo’s book is thus almost certainly going to be an important source for anyone interested in the history of CDF … It is a personal yet highly informative story of discovery and almost-discovery from the perspective of someone who saw the events firsthand.'Physics TodayFrom the mid-1980s, an international collaboration of 600 physicists embarked on the investigation of subnuclear physics at the high-energy frontier. As well as discovering the top quark, the heaviest elementary particle ever observed, the physicists analyzed their data to seek signals of new physics which could revolutionize our understanding of nature.Anomaly! tells the story of that quest, and focuses specifically on the finding of several unexplained effects which were unearthed in the process. These anomalies proved highly controversial within the large team: to some collaborators they called for immediate publication, while to others their divulgation threatened to jeopardize the reputation of the experiment.Written in a confidential, narrative style, this book looks at the sociology of a large scientific collaboration, providing insight in the relationships between top physicists at the turn of the millennium. The stories offer an insider's view of the life cycle of the 'failed' discoveries that unavoidably accompany even the greatest endeavors in modern particle physics.

We present the latest results of CDF searches for Z[prime], W[prime] and leptoquarks. Using about 70pb[sup -1] data from 1992-95 CDF runs, we have searched for Z[prime][yields] l[sup+]l[sup -], W[prime][yields] WZ and pairs of second generation scalar leptoquark, S[sub 2]. We find no evidence for these new particles, and set new mass limits at 95% CL. We exclude M[sub Z[prime]]
