The papers consist of four folders of reports, covering the period 17 April to 13 August 1964, when the 11th Cavalry Regiment of the United States (U.S.) Army planned its redeployment to Fort Meade, Maryland from Germany. Folder one concentrates on disposition of equipment. Folder two contains transportation information and the after action report. Folder three contains information on the shipment of documents, inspections requirements, certificates of inspection, and personnel transportation requirements. Folder four contains the earliest planning instructions from 7th Army and Department of Defense.
