The collections of Luther and other foreign silver medals are the most. Important ever offered in these sales. There is a fine lot of ancient Greek, Roman and other foreign gold and silver coins. The American gold includes rare quarter eagles of 1796 (no stars on obverse), 1804, 1807, 1825, 1831, 1832, 1833; about fifty gold dollars, twenty of which are proofs, as well as eagles, half eagles and three dollars. Some fine U. S. Silver dollars are listed, including 1836 (3 specimens), 1839, 1858.
