In many instances no invoice Whatever was fur nished, thus compelling reliance only on frail paper tags attached to articles when shipped from their original point in the state. A very large propor tion of these were lost before the exhibit was installed, or even in the space. Before and since my return to the state, I have made all possible efforts to obtain names of donors, their post-office address, list of articles donated.
