It is the second in Sabatini's trilogy about the character after Captain Blood (1922) and was followed by The Fortunes of Captain Blood (1936). ★ About Author: Rafael Sabatini (29 April 1875 - 13 February 1950) was an Italian/English writer of novels of romance and adventure.
