Heartful Business: Leading with the World in Mind is a provocation to everyone who’s a leader – to step up and join the battle to create a better world for all. And a battle it is. Governments and their leaders throw resources at problems for which they don’t have solutions, problems that keep growing and shapeshifting. The pressing need for a new leadership operating system for the world to survive, let alone thrive, is clear. We must solve the monumental problems facing our planet and humanity, for future generations to thrive. To do so will need a shift in how leaders lead as massive as the one we’re facing in our climate. The future isn’t just down to politicians. The challenge is too big. BUSINESS CAN LEAD THE WAY - by fundamentally committing to help create a better world for all. A handful of leaders get this but not enough. The thing is business leaders are ill-equipped to do what’s needed. WHAT’S NEEDED IS CONSCIOUS LEADERSHIP AND PRACTICAL ACTIONS THAT SET A ‘GREATER GOOD’ AT THE HEART OF THE ORGANISATION’S PURPOSE, VISION, CULTURE AND DAY-IN, DAY-OUT OPERATIONS. It’s about a new form of leadership based on five essential principles of human life expressed through five core qualities. From heartfulness, to greater reflection, to intentionality, to presence, to leading with more feminine qualities (irrespective of gender), Heartful Business: Leading with the World in Mind, sets out the standard and practices for the new era of leadership that’s fit for our times – describing why a new form of leadership is needed, what form it needs to take and, crucially, how to develop the capability to lead in this way. At whatever level you lead, Heartful Business will help you become the legacy-building leader you want to be and, more important, the world needs.

Readers will love to follow Bentley and try the poses themselves as he gets buzzing all about yoga in this kid-friendly introduction. Bentley Bee loves to fly around and visit his friends in the garden. One day, he notices all of them in unusual poses. What could it bee? Bentley’s friends teach him several beginning yoga poses including Mountain, Chair, Airplane, Cobra, and more. Includes a Note to Parents and Caregivers with suggestions for introducing children to yoga, and instructions for the poses in the story. Excerpt: Exploring yoga with your child is a wonderful way to connect and exercise together. Although the practice of yoga began thousands of years ago, the need for its benefits has never been greater. In our fast-paced, busy lives, we don’t always realize how our go, go, go lifestyle hinders our general health and hurts our most precious relationships. We tend to survive in a stressed mode of being, just to keep up with the pace. Unfortunately, this is what we end up modeling for our children. It is no wonder that we have rising rates of anxiety and chronic stress amongst even our youngest children.

Covenant Retreat is a special place in the gorgeous mountains of Virginia. There is a very large old Plantation home in the middle of the retreat that has a wonderful balcony overlooking the entire property. A babbling river runs right through the middle of the land and empties into a sparkling pond. Rolling hills of flowers and open fields of hay are all surrounded by a forest of trees. Bentley Bennigan the beekeeper, lives in the big house and sits on his balcony watching over all his treasured creatures. Three red barns are placed around the retreat and the largest one sits on top of the highest hill with a special beehive of honey bees. There are twenty-six bees in this hive that were chosen by the beekeeper because of their great attitudes. Each bee has been given a name by the beekeeper to match his or her special attitude. The bees all work together to help each other and their friends out. These bees are very busy using their gifts to prosper their hive but also work hard to pollinate their beautiful surroundings. As the bees go through their days, they encounter other creatures who struggle with certain issues so they try to help them learn a better way to do things.
