Nearly 2,400 years ago, ancient philosopher Plato wrote the story of Atlantis, a compelling tale of an 11,000-year-old island civilization which has since captivated the imagination of poets, authors, and the minds of many scholars who over the centuries kept on searching for the legendary island. Today, numerous speculations place Atlantis in locations like the Azores Islands in the middle of the Atlantic, in Spain, somewhere off the coast of southeastern Cyprus, in Malta, or in more exotic lo

A spellbinding blend of history and science, scholarship and speculation, this landmark work presents startling new evidence that traces archaeology's most enduring mysteries back to the lost civilization of Atlantis.... The Great Pyramid. Stonehenge. Machu Picchu. For centuries, these and other sacred sites have inspired wonder among those who ponder their origins. Conventional science tells us they were constructed by local peoples working with the primitive tools of a fledgling civilization. But these megaliths nonetheless continue to attract pilgrims, scholars, and adventurers drawn by the possibility that their true spiritual and technological secrets remain hidden. Who could have built these elaborate monuments? How did they do it? And what were their incomprehensible efforts and sacrifices designed to accomplish? Now comes a revolutionary theory that connects these mysteries to reveal a hidden global pattern -- the ancient work of an advanced civilization whose warnings of planetary cataclysm now reverberate across one hundred millennia. International bestselling author Colin Wilson and Canadian researcher Rand Flem-Ath join forces to share startling evidence of a fiercely intelligent society dating back as much as 100,000 years -- one that sailed the oceans of the world, building monuments to preserve and communicate its remarkable wisdom. The Atlantis Blueprint is their term for a sophisticated network of connections between these sacred sites that they trace to Atlantis: a sophisticated maritime society that charted the globe from its home base in Antarctica ... until it was obliterated by the devastating global changes it anticipated but could not escape. Here is adventure to realms beyond our imaginings ... to shifting poles, changing latitudes ... into the world of ancient mariners who recharted the globe ... to astonishing discoveries about our ancestors. Here are the great mysteries ... the incredibly complex geography of the Temple of Luxor ... the startling sophistication of Egyptian science and math ... and tantalizing similarities among the Hebrew, Greek, and Mayan alphabets to the Chinese lunar zodiac. The Atlantis Blueprint opens up a Pandora's box of ancient mysteries, lost worlds, and millennial riddles. It is a story as controversial, fascinating, dangerous -- and inspiring -- as any ever told.

An in-depth investigation of the mounting evidence that Atlantis was located in the Bahamas and Caribbean, near Cuba in particular • Explains how Atlantis was destroyed by a comet, the same comet that formed the mysterious Carolina Bays • Reveals evidence of complex urban ruins off the coasts of Cuba and the Bahamas • Shows how pre-Columbian mariners visited the Caribbean and brought back stories of Atlantis’s destruction • Compares Plato’s account with ancient legends from the indigenous people of North and South America, such as the Maya, the Quiché, and the Yuchi of Oklahoma The legend of Atlantis is one of the most intriguing mysteries of all time. Disproving many well-known Atlantis theories and providing a new hypothesis, the evidence for which continues to build, Andrew Collins shows that what Plato recounts is the memory of a major cataclysm at the end of the last Ice Age 13,000 years ago, when a comet devastated the island of Cuba and submerged part of the Bahaman landmass in the Caribbean. He parallels Plato’s account with corroborating ancient myths and legends from the indigenous people of North and South America, such as the Maya of Mesoamerica, the Quiché of Peru, the Yuchi of Oklahoma, the islanders of the Antilles, and the native peoples of Brazil. The author explains how the comet that destroyed Atlantis in the Caribbean was the same comet that formed the mysterious and numerous elliptical depressions, known as the Carolina Bays, found across the mid-Atlantic United States. He reveals evidence of sunken ruins off the coasts of both Cuba and the Bahamas, ancient complexes spanning more than 10 acres that clearly suggest urban development and meticulously planned road systems. Revealing the identity of Plato’s “opposite continent” as ancient America, Collins argues that Plato’s story was first carried back to the Mediterranean world by trans-Atlantic mariners, such as the Phoenicians and Carthaginians, as early as the first millennium BC. He offers additional ancient trans-Atlantis trade evidence from Egyptian mummies, Roman shipwrecks in the Western Atlantic, and the African features of giant stone heads in Mexico. Piecing together the final days of Atlantis and the wildfires, earthquakes, tsunamis, days of darkness, and advancement of ice sheets that followed the ancient comet’s impact, Collins establishes not only that Atlantis did indeed exist but also that remnants of it survive today, most obviously in Cuba, Atlantis’s original central island.

This text presents evidence for a new theory that the great stone spheres of Costa Rica and sighting stones throughout the Pacific were used to teach sea routes and constellation paths to navigators of the ancient world. It reveals substantial links between Meso-America and Egypt and the Middle East.

Atlantis UnveiledAfter just now having finished writing this book, I have to say, wow, what a journey! The whole thing unfolded almost by itself. All I did was to follow the leads, and to write myself in the direction they were leading. Then, voila, the Mystery of Atlantis is not just solved, it is Unveiled! And after having studied the Mystery of Atlantis off and on for thirty-five years, it is fair to say that the writing and researching of this book became a major breakthrough in itself.Take one example. Previously I had been instrumental in the deciphering of the Homeric voyage of Odysseus. There Odysseus told of his voyage in the Hall of King Alcinous, on the very Island which Plato called Atlantis. This time the details of the whole route of Jason and the Argonauts have for the first time been plotted convincingly onto a modern map. In that process the meeting of the interpretations of the World of Homer and the World of Apollonius revealed a previous misplacement of Hades, after which came this discovery, one of many in this book:I was, of course, curious to see if there is an old cave also where an entrance to Hades is described in the story of Jason and the Argonauts, as that would be another wonderful confirmation of this whole solution. What I found was the Nordsandfjord Cave, located under a big rock on the island Sørøya (Thynias), going more than a hundred meters into the mountain in the shape of a T, and situated in exactly the area Apollonius described. With this additional discovery I take it to be self evident that nowhere on this planet answers to the detailed geographic descriptions by Homer and Apollonius remotely as well as the High North. And with this the Lost Civilization has finally been irrefutably found. But that is only the beginning, to be found in the first part.Atlantis Unveiled consists of four parts. They are Atlantis Located, Atlantis Destroyed, Atlantis Remnants and Atlantis Energies. The book is opening up a wonderful understanding of a terrible situation. All leading, via ancient Ley Lines, to an eye to eye contact with the creator of the Great Pyramid. The latter through the eerie experience of seeing this very awakening understanding mirrored within the symbols of the Pyramid passages. This book is giving a perhaps surprising final location for what has till now been the ever elusive Atlantis. That, however, one can see for oneself, since, apart from the one small Island which Plato correctly described to have sunk unto the sea, the rest of the greater Atlantis area is still very much there. Even though its ancient culture is largely destroyed and forgotten, as well as unexplored from this perspective. As if its exit from common memory was indeed intended. That's why the Mystery of Atlantis eventually had to be Unveiled, rather than just solved.Including 48 maps.

Accounts of past lost civilizations, strange aerial phenomena, unexplained encounters, and cryptic codes unquestionably continue to tease our minds with their intrigue. While many of these puzzles, which often are passed down from one generation to another, sound so incredible that they appear to be stories of pure fiction, from time to time, and more often than we realize, they turn out to be true. UCHRONIA (alternative history) connects with several such controversial topics and provides facts and clues that could explain some of the most contentious mysteries of our time, including Plato’s Atlantis. Is the Human Genome a real miracle or genetics? What is the meaning behind the Nazca Lines? Has a Middle Eastern culture managed to visit North America 10,000 years before Christopher Columbus? Can the Old Testament of the Holy Bible be a copy of a much older original? In 2017, New York City-Big Book Awards voted the original edition of UCHRONIA as one of their Distinguished Favorites! This UPDATED & EXTENDED version is not just an extension or a more in-depth analysis of the original work published in 2014, but an opportunity to illustrate how several more scientific events and recent archaeological discoveries now further support many of the earlier conclusions noted in the original edition.
