Experience the tarot in a whole new way with these captivating poems. This e-book contains 44 poems (22 for the upright meanings and 22 for the reversal meanings) Each major arcana card comes to life in a unique and thought-provoking way, offering a fresh perspective on the symbols and meanings contained in those cards. Poetry is a powerful and evocative form of expression that can help to convey the complex and often abstract meanings of the tarot cards in a way that is both accessible and engaging. With the help of rhyming couplets and small stanzas, alliteration has been proven since childhood to help us retain useful information. Just like Tarot, poetry can be a powerful tool for self-reflection and introspection too. Combining both has been a wonderful way to explore and understand my own thoughts and feelings in relation to the tarot. And I'm not the first to do it - there are many magnificent artists out there who have been creating tarot poetry since the 15th century! I hope you enjoy those poems and that they may inspire you to write your own, as well as deepen your understanding of the tarot major arcana themes. So grab your favourite deck, look up the artwork from many incredibly talented indie creators and start your multi-layered tarot journey.

Known as 'the Theologian', St Gregory of Nazianzus is, with St Basil and St Gregory of Nyssa, one of the celebrated Cappadocian Fathers of the fourthcentury Christian Church. Highly educated in both Christian theology and classical Greek literature, he found himself torn between a solitary, contemplative life and the reluctantly accepted, though in actuality relished, public figure of bishop - vigorous in the defence of orthodoxy against the attacks of the Arians. He was even, briefly, bishop of Constantinople and chairman of the council in 381 which produced what we know as the Nicene Creed. This, the first modern edition of his poems, brings together his theological acumen in a formative period and shows his ability to operate in the genre of didactic verse going back the the eighth century BC. The poems cover a range of topics, from the strictly theological to others dealing more broadly with the creation of the world, providence, the world of spiritual beings, and the human soul. They give a unique new insight into both the theological ideas of the period and the uneasy emergence of Christian culture from the pagan past.

Poetry. Award-winning poet Alison Stone draws from the tarot in her latest collection. These 78 poems range from the archetypal (The Fool, The Magician, etc.) to the everyday situations of love, work, ideas, and conflicts that make up our lives. Mythical figures from past and present appear—Prometheus and Persephone represent court cards, as do Lou Reed and Steve Jobs. By turns witty and heartbreaking, this book goes down easily enough to be devoured in one sitting yet reveals greater depths with each subsequent reading. Stone's accessible lyrics move and entertain us with the struggles and joys of what it means to be human.
