Every little girl loves their daddy and thinks the sun rises and shines on everything he says and does; every little boy loves having their daddy beside them. Through every season, they look to their daddy as someone who sets the example of how to play fair and give life their best shot. Someone to look up to, to lean on . But most importantly to LOVE them! Love them for the rest of their lives and even their children's lives. Thank you for being the most wonderful, strong man you have always been. A MAN OF HONOR! So can you imagine how it must have felt when the doctor said to these three children, Your father has cancer and has only 6 months to live! There are no words to express our family's sorrow that day! But from that day forward, we decided that this journey God had us on would be one that inspired others; uplifted those who were being challenged the way we were being challenged; and we would give God all the honor and glory for all that He had done for us and would continue to do for us. Douglas said to us, I am going to beat this thing with God's help, my family and my friends! He fought to the very end of his life with amazing strength, faith and love of God, family and friends. And so our journey began . I feel so blessed that God placed so many people in our path as we shared our journey. God truly was the strength that we needed to get through each day. God brought us all together at this particular time and place in our lives.

In Forest Gump, Sally Fields says, Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what youre gonna get. MI VIDA is like a Latino Forest Gump story. However, it is the true-life story of Jos Harris: his challenging childhood; Army enlistment as a cook but eventually ending up a Paratrooper, Airborne Ranger then Green Beret; obtaining and losing success, and ultimately finding out what matters most in life. Around 56 A.D., the apostle Paul wrote the Corinthian Christians about the importance of faith, hope and love. Harris takes the reader along on his life's journey on the road to finding peace, love and happiness. Along the way, he works to strengthen his faith in God and his hope for the future. At the end of the book, the reader may ask the question that Harris asks himself throughout, "Who Am I?" The reader may discover the answer, and find out today's meaning and importance of the three attributes that the apostle Paul wrote about, 2000 years ago.

Proof of Divine presents the journey of author Andrew Murtagh as he straddles the fence between faith and cynicism. Coming off autopilot in the race to the top of corporate America, he goes for an all-or-none look at the greatest story ever told. Blending his family's incredible stories of survival, faith, and hope--matched with his own walk from hockey player to coach to husband, father, and career man--he embarks on a five-year journey on the question of a greater meaning and critical investigation of theism and Christianity. Is there a God? Are science and faith mutually exclusive? Are all credible scientists atheists? How do the sciences' founding fathers and scientific thought leaders of the modern day weigh in on the matter? What is the state of the union with the origin of the universe and life? Is the Bible historically and archaeologically reliable? What of morality, purpose, and meaning? Who is the historical Jesus, and why Christianity? The graze of a bullet, a soldier surrounded, an armed robbery, and a fateful desert drive--Murtagh puts the faith of his youth to the ultimate test: the Proof of Divine.

This volume, three separate books in one edition, is a collection of Josef Pieper's famous treatises on the three theological virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love. Each of these treatises was originally published as a separate work over a period of thirty-seven years, and here they are brought together in English for the first time. The first of the three that he wrote, On Hope, was written in 1934 in response to the general feeling of despair of those times. His "philosophical treatise" on Faith was derived from a series of lectures he gave in the late 1950s and early 1960s. His most difficult work, one that he struggled with for years - and almost abandoned - was his work On Love. Pieper now feels that this is the most important book he has written. He discusses not only the theological virtue of caritas-agape, but also of eros, sexuality, and even "love" of music and wine.
