In this collection of 10 short stories and 10 poems written by Arron Steep, the author explores themes of purpose and faith, love and angst, as well as every-day hardship. Arron touches on what it means to feel deeply, to wonder and learn from the world around us. Appreciate such stories as “The Mangar Prince and the Fairest Daughter” which is styled after classic fairy tales, and enjoy the lyrical religious allegory of “The King’s Promise”. Wrestle with the complications of young love as depicted in “Reality’s Rope” and be absorbed in a heavenly quest for earthly virtue in “Amaranthine: Divine Descent”.

Amaranthine (adj.): 1. Of a dark, purple-red color; 2. Perpetually beautiful;3. Indestructible, immortal, eternal."Amaranthine" is a poetry collection by Ami J. Sanghvi which details her six-year, young adult journey of love, hate, pain, anger, discovery, growth, and, survival. The poems delve into topics of abuse (emotional, mental, and physical) in both platonic and non-platonic relationships; there are also a handful of pieces which describe the aftermaths of surviving sexual harassment, assault, and violence without actually divulging those experiences themselves (the author is still working towards comprehending and penning the vilest parts of her young adult life). The grating scenarios depicted by the poems in "Amaranthine" almost seem to repeat themselves, as if though the subject is stuck in a cycle of sorts, for a good portion of the book. Yet, that changes. After breaking free from the [human] sources of her pain for the umpteenth time, the character struggles to keep her head above the surface. She has not been able to succeed at this venture in the past, but this time, her attempts at recovery result in something she's never actually known before: a lengthy period of actual self-exploration, self-love, and independence. The collection persists, and the poems come to portray some of the countless internal and external battles which can follow instances of trauma. Here, the central character also finds herself struggling with sentiments she'd never been aware of before: doubts about her future as a writer, terror at the rapid passing of time, fantasies of revenge and, of course, utter bewilderment in regards to her life. Still, she begins to embrace her own strength, worth, beauty, and passion and, in that, she finds that she is amaranthine. The poems begin to show her emerging on the other side; she falls in love with mixed martial arts, addressed here solely through boxing-heavy verses, reemerges as a poet, and finds that she is just as much of a fighter as she is a writer. She is just as strong as she is creative and, in that, she is a survivor. She is amaranthine.

A tear is a flame of love, Each tiny fire for happiness lost, Each time to dry with hope, Each tiny tear a leak from the heart, To kindle a spark of life. This book, like a tear, is to light the spark within. For a candle to light another, it doesnt diminish itself; rather, the light grows stronger together. Earth is hurting, and we do nothing, but together, we can change the world for the better. My characterization of different things is like peeking through a letterbox. There is so much more there if only we could see.

The book is the collection of heartwarming poetries that will bring you close to different corners of an eternal friendship. Where friendship is the most beautiful treasure which fills our soul with magic & bliss, when you have that constant friend blessed from heaven. Where a real friend makes you eternally the richest person on this entire universe. Where all worldly problems seem small when you have that one friend to hold on. While sharing depths of love, fragility, commitments & overrated expectations. A rosy love usually fades over passing ages but real friendship glows & survives in all ages. Where a friend’s ear, listens, conceives, holds and nurtures you to grow. Where a friend’s philosophy teaches you to survive beautifully. Where each moment spent, holding your friend’s hand is meant to be cherished. Where distances are invisible, where our souls are visible. Where every graceful goodbye is impermanent when the bonds are permanent. Where friendship fills you with grit & power to climb higher & higher like a free bird. A friendship where existence is remarked. Where things may fade but their amaranthine friendship never fades away, Cause when bonds are connected by heart no one can set them apart. And where into this little sparkling paradise, the bright innocence eternally exists & the magical friendships persists. And into all even & odds the friendship always wins.
