MegaMinds: Hoe to Create and Invent in the Age of Google explains how people do genius level thinking and how this can be augmented by the new Web-based search and invent services. Kilham reviews the major creative epochs and thinkers such as Leonardo da Vinci and Einstein and then moves on to the latest in computer-aided thinking. He reviews artificial intelligence and highlights its limitations and then goes on to explore the possibilities with Google and other massive Web-based connected, collectivized intelligence. Noting that we are entering an era where the lone genius may no longer be equal to solving the problems such as ecology, Kilham proposes new problem solving approaches combing the best of the imaginative and creative individual and the computer. Kilham combines historical research, current laboratory studies using such modern techniques as fMRI, and his own experience as an inventor with several successful patents in complex technical areas. He offers suggestions along the way for everyone from emerging inventors and technical problem solvers to research teams seeking to utilize the best in cognitive science and computer technology.

Since the 1970's, educators, psychologists and politicians have continually stressed the need to help children actually learn how to learn. This groundbreaking book is the first of its kind to do just that. Aimed at parents who want to start their kids off on the right track, this book is actually a step-by-step course to help you teach your kids how to learn. It's filled with explanations, exercises, tips, check lists and guidelines to help you at every step in the process. Your kids won't learn these things in school, because schools aren't equipped to provide it. Here is your chance to make up for what's missing in the classroom. You won't find anything like it anywhere else. THIS BOOK IS GREAT! Sid has written what may be the definitive guide for parents (... and anyone else who works with children). He literally covers it all: how to prepare yourself, the most important things you need to pay attention to when you are working with children to help them succeed... -Joseph Riggio, Ph.D., Cognitive Scientist, author of The State of Perfection The frustration with learning can be greatly alleviated if we apply the principles and processes offered in this book. If you are a parent, teacher or have ever been a young frustrated learner, you will love this book.... -Judith DeLozier, Co-author of NLP II: The Next Generation In a remarkably practical and engaging way, Sid Jacobson offers helpful and unique suggestions for how to help kids to fall in love with 'learning to learn'. It is clear that Sid is sharing a passion that he has developed for many years. I highly recommend this book! -Stephen Gilligan, Ph.D., Psychologist, author of The Courage To Love

This book is about finding home in a world that obscures the spiritual nature of it, the fourth dimension. Beckys journey is my journey. The character herself is fictional, but her life experiences, thoughts, and feelings are mine. The other characters are from my life, but are given other parts to play in the story. The setting begins in 1986. Becky and her friends make their way through careers, growing beyond challenges of their past that limit them, into spirituality, freedom, and beyond. These characters brought up hidden emotions I didnt know were still there. As I created the characters, they taught me to look again at my responses to life with courage, love, and gentle humor. I thank Becky and her friends for giving me gifts I could not have found within myself without them. I gave them life, though only on paper, and they returned the favor by imprinting themselves on my heart. In Philippians 3:13, it says, Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God . . . Spirituality is our nature; the fourth dimension is our home.
