Make a pair of adult moccasin style bootie slippers with this knitting pattern. I’ve jazzed up these slippers by adding some striped chevron/eyelet detailing to the top of the toe. I also made the cuff a little longer to fit even more like a bootie. The final product is very gender neutral. Knit on 2 sets of size 4 mm (US size 6) knitting needles with worsted weight yarn, this knitting pattern has instructions for slippers for ADULTS from a size 5 - 14. I’ve also created a quick how-to video showing how to make the heel. I use this for a number of my slipper patterns, so you may find it helpful. A search for the title will bring it up for you. This pattern is written to fit nearly all child sized feet. This particular pattern will fit a foot that is 4 inches (10 cm) up to 8 3/4 inches (22 cm) in length. The pattern uses worsted weight yarn and size 5 mm (size 8 US) single pointed knitting needles. It’s knit flat and you can either use self-striping yarn or use different shades of yarn to make this toque. I indicate where to change the colours of yarn in the pattern so there isn’t any confusion. But please note, you can knit the beanie in one solid colour also. There’s no reason why you can’t. This tuque is in adult sizes only! It is NOT knit in the traditional way by casting on stitches to go around your head. It’s knit from the side. Each row runs from the forehead to the top up to the crown of the head or to the pom pom. This is what makes the stripes vertical instead of the usual horizontal ones on all the other winter hats out there.
