Excerpt from Address Upon the History of the Antagonism and Assaults of the Papacy Against Freemasonry and Free Government In accordance with these Statutes, gethsemane chapter OF knights rose croix No. 5, of Oakland, on Monday evening, June 24th, St. John the Baptist's Day, held an open meeting to which Master Masons specially invited by ticket united with that Chapter in Masonic commemoration of the day of the first of their Patron Saints John, to whom in common their lodges are dedicated. The lodge room of the Masonic Temple was handsomely decorated with the banners and standards of the order, and towards the East upon the triangular altar covered with a beautiful crimson velvet cloth fringed with gold, was the open Bible, the Great Light of Masonry, with the working tools, the square and compass and triangle with crossed swords. The altar was placed within a triangle of nine lights and between two Corinthian columns surmounted by two large gilt candlesticks in which were tall white wax candles burning, symbols of the two Saints John. The canopies in the East, South, West, and North were crimson, and crimson velvet coverings with gold fringe covered the pedestals in front of the chief officers. Popes have never been enthusiastic about Freemasonry. Clement XII condemned the order in 1738, as did Benedict XIV in 1751. This was followed by interdicts by Pius VII in 1821, Leo XII in 1826, Pius VIII in 1829, Gregory XVI in 1832, and Pius IX 1646. The encyclical Humanum Genus by Leo XIII was the most ambitious attack yet, and linked Masonry to deism and Gnosticism. It remains perhaps the most sweeping condemnation by the Roman Catholic Church of the Masonic movement, and has been the source of considerable conflict and confrontation ever since it was issued.

Secrets the Jesuits don't want Christians to know Out of Europe, a voice is heard from the secular world that documents historically the same information told by ex-priests. The author exposes the Vatican's involvement in world politics, intrigues, and the fomenting of wars throughout history. It appears, beyond any doubt, that the Roman Catholic institution is not a Christian church and never was. The poor Roman Catholic people have been betrayed by her and are facing spiritual disaster. Paris shows that Rome is responsible for the two great world wars. Author Edmond Paris explains why he wrote this book... "The public is practically unaware of the overwhelming responsibility carried by the Vatican and its Jesuits in the start of the two world wars -- a situation which may be explained in part by the gigantic finances at the disposition of the Vatican and its Jesuits, giving them power in so many spheres, especially since the last conflict." "In fact, the part they took in those tragic events has hardly been mentioned until the present time, except by apologists eager to disguise it. It is with the aim of rectifying this and establishing the true facts that we present in this and other books the political activity of the Vatican during the contemporary -- activity which mutually concerns the Jesuits." "This study is based on irrefutable archive documents, publications from well-known political personalities, diplomats, ambassadors and eminent writers, most of whom are Catholics, even attested by the imprimatur."
