He humbly trusts that the Glorious Jesus whom he worships as his Lord and his God, -his Great God and Saviour, - will be still pleased to use this work for the manifestation of his glory, the bringing of the vessels of his mercy to an acknowledgment and obedience of the truth, and the guarding of his Church against the vital and dangerous errors which these days have again brought forth, all of which, the author believes, originate in an ignorance, or in confused views, of the relations of the Law and the Gospel to each other and to man. He has also in prepa ration, should his life be spared for their publication, two other works in connection with this; the one under the title of Christ is all, displaying these precious truths in the actual experience of mam - and the other under the title of The good Confession, exhibiting the outward manifestation of their influence and Operation in the Chris tian life. He humbly hopes, and for this end, begs the prayers of Christian friends, that the Glorious King of Zion will graciously accept his efforts in these books to proclaim the truth, to the promotion of his own glory, and the edifying of his Church. And committing his labours to Him, he would adore and glorify God, the Father, the Son, and the Holv Ghost, one Almighty, Gracious God, with thanksgivings and praise, for evermore. Amen.
