A search for neutral Higgs bosons predicted in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) for [mu]+[mu]- decay channels is presented. Our analysis uses data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 5.1 and 19.3 fb-1, respectively. The search is sensitive to Higgs bosons produced either through the gluon fusion process or in association with a bb quark pair. No statistically significant excess is observed in the [mu]+[mu]- mass spectrum. Results are interpreted in the framework of several benchmark scenarios, and the data are used to set an upper limit on the MSSM parameter tan [beta] as a function of the mass of the pseudoscalar A boson in the range from 115 to 300 GeV. Furthermore, the model independent upper limits are given for the product of the cross section and branching fraction for gluon fusion and b quark associated production at √s = 8 TeV. As a result, they are the most stringent limits obtained to date in this channel.

A search for the decay to a pair of new particles of either the 125 GeV Higgs boson (h) or a second charge parity (CP)-even Higgs boson (H) is presented. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb-1 of pp collisions at √s = 8 TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in 2012. The search was done in the context of the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model, in which the new particles are the lightest neutral pseudoscalar Higgs bosons (a). One of the two a bosons is required to decay to two muons while the other is required to decay to two ? leptons. No significant excess is observed above the expected backgrounds in the dimuon invariant mass range from 3.7 to 50 GeV. Upper limits are placed on the production of h → aa relative to the standard model gg → h production, assuming no coupling of the a boson to quarks. The most stringent limit is placed at 3.5% for ma = 3.75 GeV. Upper limits are also placed on the production cross section of H → aa from 2.33 to 0.72 pb, for fixed ma = 5 GeV with mH ranging from 100 to 500 GeV.

The searches for a Beyond Standard Model (BSM) heavy CP-odd Higgs boson A decaying to Zh in the context of two-Higgs-doublet models (2HDM), and Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) neutral Higgs bosons H/A decaying to a tau pair are presented. The search for the heavy CP-odd Higgs boson, A, is conducted through the A -> Zh -> ll T[subscript]lep T[subscript]had decay channel using 20.3 fb−1 of proton-proton collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass of 8 TeV. The search for the neutral MSSM H/A decaying to a tau pair in the T[subscript]lep T[subscript]had b-veto final state is done using 3.2 fb−1 of proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass of 13 TeV. The observed data agrees with the Standard Model background prediction, and upper limits are set on cross-section times branching ratio of neutral BSM Higgs bosons.

A search for neutral MSSM Higgs bosons in pp collisions at the LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV is presented. The results are based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 inverse picobarns recorded by the CMS experiment. The search uses decays of the Higgs bosons to tau pairs. No excess is observed in the tau-pair invariant-mass spectrum. The resulting upper limits on the Higgs boson production cross section times branching fraction to tau pairs, as a function of the pseudoscalar Higgs boson mass, yield stringent new bounds in the MSSM parameter space.

A search for neutral Higgs bosons in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) decaying to tau-lepton pairs in pp collisions is performed, using events recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 24.6 fb−1, with 4.9 fb−1 at 7 TeV and 19.7 fb−1 at 8 TeV. To enhance the sensitivity to neutral MSSM Higgs bosons, the search includes the case where the Higgs boson is produced in association with a b-quark jet. No excess is observed in the tau-lepton-pair invariant mass spectrum. Exclusion limits are presented in the MSSM parameter space for different benchmark scenarios, mhmax, mhmod+, mhmod-, light-stop, light-stau, [tau]-phobic, and low-mH. Upper limits on the cross section times branching fraction for gluon fusion and b-quark associated Higgs boson production are also given.

A search for the production of neutral Higgs bosons ? decaying into ?+?− final states in p{bar p} collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV is presented. The data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of approximately 325 pb−1, were collected by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. Since no excess compared to the expectation from standard model processes is found, limits on the production cross section times branching ratio are set. The results are combined with those obtained from the D0 search for ?b({bar b}) → b{bar b}b({bar b}) and are interpreted in the minimal supersymmetric standard model.
