The book is a compilation of articles I wrote for my daily blog on Facebook. The focal point is the life of the everyday, beaten-down writer and what it takes to be a writer facing the ordinary adversities of the craft. I don't try to sugarcoat anything; instead, I attempt to let you know what it means to be a functioning writer who struggles for each word, and struggles with the lack of financial and commercial success. How does the ordinary writer who works at a mundane job by day and writes by night hold it together? How do they continue to be productive? How do they continue to inspire themselves in a world that doesn't care? How do they keep themselves from becoming bored? All of this is explored in the articles contained in this small book on the creative writing process. I hope it can act as an inside look to all those interested in the subject or working in the field.

Before I started pastoring, I knew the call of God was on my life. Like most young pastors, I felt it was my time or my season, as some say. Like most young pastors, God had given me great confirmation and assurance that this was his leading in my life. However, once I got into the deep waters of pastoring, I quickly realized I did not know how to swim. It almost appeared that God was not fair, blessing some but allowing others to suffer. Well, now I know that's not true. Many pastors waste precious years learning, not knowing what to do. Due to a lack of training, tutoring, and teaching, they are stuck in the week-to-week cycle of just going to church. Join me for a journey in church growth principles, giving you the ABCs of church growth. All you need is a little information.

I was just your run-of-the-mill alcoholic who God saw fit to rescue! For close to forty years, I struggled with addiction, and as time went on, it always got worse quicker and got more intense after any period of clean time. It was not until this unprofessional writer put God like I never had him before in my life and also after a proven twelve-step program that I was able to get and stay soberone day at a time. I was bankrupt in all waysfinancially, emotionally, mentally (at times I couldnt remember my name), and almost spiritually. I turned a perfectly good life into a perfect messby choice. Why? I ended up at a few homeless shelters. Family and friends were asking (begging) me to get out of my hometown, Buffalo, New York, because I was going to die as the whole city turned into a people, places, and things place that people are warned about in recovery. Today I tell God, people at recovery meetings, family, and friends, I have the best life of anybody I know, and I believe it! God gets and deserves all the glory, all the honor, and all the praise that my family and friends give to me. God blessed me with one grandchild (daughter) and another one on the way. At recovery meetings, they say, Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path. That is so true! According to Matthew 6:33, Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added onto you. Thank you! God bless you! Glenn

Is the perfect murder the one you can't forget or the one you can't remember? Dr. Jennifer White, a brilliant former surgeon in the early grips of Alzheimer's, is suspected of murdering her best friend, Amanda. Amanda's body was found brutally disfigured — with four of her fingers cut off in a precise, surgical manner. As the police pursue their investigation and Jennifer searches her own mind for fractured clues to Amanda's death, a portrait emerges of a complex relationship between two uncompromising, unsentimental women, lifelong friends who were at times each other's most formidable adversaries.
