It is hoped, too, that this attempt at classification, limited as it is, will be well received, even by those who are in the habit of Catalogue perusing, since the breaks-'ali'drd relief to the reader, by claiming stricter attention to the subject, or relaxing iti as the particular division is more or less to his taste. The great cost of printing has necessarily led to an abridgment of the titles, and this, in many cases, to the destruction of the grammatical construction but is is hoped, notwithstanding, that they will be sufli ciently intelligible middleman in all cases, the subject matter of the book.
