DCAI 2022 is a forum to present applications of innovative techniques for studying and solving complex problems in artificial intelligence and computing areas. The present edition brings together past experience, current work and promising future trends associated with distributed computing, artificial intelligence and their application in order to provide efficient solutions to real problems. This year’s technical program will present both high quality and diversity, with contributions in well-established and evolving areas of research. Specifically, 46 papers were submitted, by authors from 28 different countries representing a truly “wide area network” of research activity. The DCAI’22 Special Sessions technical program has selected 22 papers (12 full papers) and, as in past editions, it will be special issues in ranked journals. This symposium is organized by the University of L'Aquila (Italy). We would like to thank all the contributing authors, the members of the Program Committee and the sponsors (IBM, Indra, Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Scienze dell'Informazione e Matematica dell'Università degli Studi dell'Aquila, Armundia Group, Whitehall Reply, T.C. Technologies And Comunication S.R.L., LCL Industria Grafica, AIR Institute, AEPIA, APPIA).

This book reviews present state-of-the-art research related to the security of cloud computing including developments in conversational AI applications. It is particularly suited for those that bridge the academic world and industry, allowing readers to understand the security concerns in advanced security solutions for conversational AI in the cloud platform domain by reviewing present and evolving security solutions, their limitations, and future research directions. Conversational AI combines natural language processing (NLP) with traditional software like chatbots, voice assistants, or an interactive voice recognition system to help customers through either a spoken or typed interface. Conversational chatbots that respond to questions promptly and accurately to help customers are a fascinating development since they make the customer service industry somewhat self-sufficient. A well-automated chatbot can decimate staffing needs, but creating one is a time-consuming process. Voice recognition technologies are becoming more critical as AI assistants like Alexa become more popular. Chatbots in the corporate world have advanced technical connections with clients thanks to improvements in artificial intelligence. However, these chatbots’ increased access to sensitive information has raised serious security concerns. Threats are one-time events such as malware and DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) assaults. Targeted strikes on companies are familiar and frequently lock workers out. User privacy violations are becoming more common, emphasizing the dangers of employing chatbots. Vulnerabilities are systemic problems that enable thieves to break in. Vulnerabilities allow threats to enter the system, hence they are inextricably linked. Malicious chatbots are widely used to spam and advertise in chat rooms by imitating human behavior and discussions, or to trick individuals into disclosing personal information like bank account details.

This book gathers the proceedings of the International Conference on Information, Communication and Cybersecurity, held on November 10–11, 2021, in Khouribga, Morocco. The conference was jointly coorganized by The National School of Applied Sciences of Sultan Moulay Slimane University, Morocco, and Charles Darwin University, Australia. This book provides an opportunity to account for state-of-the-art works, future trends impacting information technology, communications, and cybersecurity, focusing on elucidating the challenges, opportunities, and inter-dependencies that are just around the corner. This book is helpful for students and researchers as well as practitioners. ICI2C 2021 was devoted to advances in smart information technologies, communication, and cybersecurity. It was considered a meeting point for researchers and practitioners to implement advanced information technologies into various industries. There were 159 paper submissions from 24 countries. Each submission was reviewed by at least three chairs or PC members. We accepted 54 regular papers (34\%). Unfortunately, due to limitations of conference topics and edited volumes, the Program Committee was forced to reject some interesting papers, which did not satisfy these topics or publisher requirements. We would like to thank all authors and reviewers for their work and valuable contributions. The friendly and welcoming attitude of conference supporters and contributors made this event a success!
