Charles Fort was an American researcher from the early twentieth century who cataloged reports of unexplained phenomena he found in newspapers and science journals. A minor bestseller with a cult appeal, Fort's work was posthumously republished in the pulp science fiction magazine Astounding Stories in 1934. His idiosyncratic books fascinated, scared, and entertained readers, many of them authors and editors of science fiction. Fort's work prophesied the paranormal mainstays of SF literature to come: UFOs, poltergeists, strange disappearances, cryptids, ancient mysteries, unexplained natural phenomena, and everything in between. Science fiction authors latched on to Fort's topics and hypotheses as perfect fodder for SF stories. Writers like Arthur C. Clarke, Philip K. Dick, Robert Heinlein, H.P. Lovecraft, and others are examined in this exploration of Fortean science fiction--a genre that borrows from the reports and ideas of Fort and others who saw the possible science-fictional nature of our reality.

A Cyber-Noir Thriller Series To Keep You on the Edge of Your Seat! "It's Blade Gunner Meets The Maltese Falcon." Liquid Cool is the action-packed (and funny), cyberpunk/sci-fi detective series. Over 1000 pages includes These Mean Streets, Darkly (prequel), Liquid Cool (Book 1), Blade Gunner (Book 2) and NeuroDancer (Book 3)! In the sci-fi/cyberpunk detective series, author Austin Dragon shows why you never want to meet a cyborg in a dark alley. There is plenty of gritty action, suspense, thrills, and even a few laughs. It’s cyberpunk reimagined—an ever-rainy world of colossal skyscrapers, hovercars, flashy neon streets, and futuristic mechanization. Metropolis isn’t a bad place, but it isn’t a good one either. Uber-governments and megacorporations fight for control of the fifty-million-plus supercity, but so does crime. We meet Cruz, our private eye (and unlikely hero), in this super-city with a million victims and perpetrators. Watch out for tech-tricksters, analog hustlers, and digital gangsters—psychos, samurais, and cyborgs aplenty. Visitors have a way of becoming permanent attractions. Welcome to the high-tech, low-life world of Liquid Cool.

Since the 1950s , the decline and decay of society can be linked to one thing and one thing alone. We have kicked God out of a majority of our institutions. Lands of authoritarian totalitarianism have-been all but lost for many moons. This stance against God has culminated in the legalization of sodomy and child sacrifice. This book studies the ways in which citizens of the world can attempt to adapt and adjust their perspective, all while calmly understanding why the world is no longer what it once was. This involves overcoming all obstacles thrown our way which includes tantalizing opportunities we may come across, external influences from the people in our lives and government propaganda. Through the witnessing of history, this book’s content adopts a realistic view at the Middle East problem, the most prominent enigma of all our lives. In this realistic view, we hopefully break down what is at the center of all intractable problems, the situation regarding faith. For this book takes a logical approach to that situation in the hopes of plausibly bringing about an agreement with truth.

This masterful translation of a recent Bolivian novel, En el pais del silencio, transports us to a mysterious, silent, and unfamiliar land where astonishing truths are placed within our grasp. Like a parabola, this amazing story begins and ends in the same place on the same day in the life of a single persona with three interior entities: Jursafú, The Other, and The Dead Man. By portraying them as separate, Urzagasti accentuates their interrelatedness, for one character cannot grow without the others, nor can any one of them move toward an ultimate goal without the experience and knowledge of the other two. The author’s mature and thoroughly Bolivian style is marked by a synthesis of poetic and novelistic techniques which blend perfectly the indigenous and European voices of his ancestral home.
