Do you know the top seven things men do that drive women nuts? Or the real reason women cry more than men do? What are men really looking for in a woman—both at first sight and for the long-term? These are only the starting points for Barbara and Allan Pease as they discuss the very real—and often very funny—differences between the sexes. Why Men Don’t Have a Clue and Women Always Need More Shoes takes a look at some of the issues that have confused men and women for centuries. Using new findings on the brain, studies of social changes, evolutionary biology, and psychology, the Peases teach you how to make the most of your relationships—or at least begin to understand where your partner is coming from. They help women understand why men avoid commitment, what drives them to lie, and how to decode male speech to find out what they are really saying. They explain to men why women nag, how they use emotional blackmail, and how to understand (and take advantage of!) the top-secret scoring system all women apply. They also dish about the top turn-ons--and turn-offs--for both sexes. Laced with their trademark humor, Why Men Don’t Have a Clue and Women Always Need More Shoes addresses a host of nitty-gritty battlegrounds as well, from channel surfing and toilet seats to shopping and communication. Already a #1 bestseller in the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Holland, Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Belgium, Ireland, France, Czech Republic, India, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia, Why Men Don’t Have a Clue and Women Always Need More Shoes is the answer to understanding the opposite sex.

"She only has one hand," my husband said to me. I had just awoken from recovery, so I was a little foggy. "What?" "She's missing her right hand," he said. I looked at him and said, "Are you kidding? That's not funny." "I'm not kidding, honey. There's a doctor waiting outside to talk to us." I immediately broke down. How, as a mother, did I not know? I just saw her! I thought to myself. I guess they only let me see her for a few seconds and I didn't even get to touch her. And now that I thought about it, she was wrapped in a blanket and only one little hand was sticking out, and then she and Russell were gone... How did this happen? Why did this happen? How does a baby not have 10 fingers and 10 toes? "Where is she? I need her now!" I am not a writer not a blogger. I'm just a mom who journals. This is a testimony about what it's been like raising a limb-different child so far, from birth to age six. It's hard to raise any child. But when your child is labeled as "different", it's a whole new ballgame. I hope you can find inspiration and comfort in these pages. Katie Wyman and her husband Russell had their first child, Jeten in 2010 and Paisely followed the next year. Maverick recently came along in 2017. The Wymans are very close and love spending time together traveling, camping, and relaxing at home. They also enjoy time with Katie's parents in their Park Rapids, MN home. They have been very active as foster parents since their license in 2016. Katie has been a wish granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Dakota for many years. The entire family is very active in Our Redeemers Lutheran Church in Williston, North Dakota, and God is the center of their lives.

In the tradition of the Paris Review, The Notebooks is an exciting collection of original short fiction and in-depth interviews from Canada’s most celebrated and innovative young writers. A provocative examination of the writer’s life in the twenty-first century, The Notebooks charts a new direction in Canadian literature. It brings together a unique collection of accomplished fiction, ranging from the classic storytelling of Michael Redhill to the more experimental style of Lynn Crosbie. In his keenly observed story “Seratonin,” Russell Smith captures the sensuous pleasures and dizzying energy of the rave scene. “Big Trash Day,” a hybrid of fiction and poetry by Esta Spalding, is a devastating commentary on poverty and a striking portrait of the shorthand that develops within intimate relationships. In a sample from a novel-in-progress, Yann Martel shares the process through which rough sketches become realized characters, and disparate moments become fleshed-out scenes. The interviews, remarkable for their honesty and insight, bring us into the writer’s world, revealing the passion and inspiration that motivates these young writers, as well as the hardships they endure in pursuit of their art. By asking thoughtful and probing questions, Michelle Berry and Natalee Caple elicit frank and intriguing details of how writers work, structure their days, and order their physical space to facilitate the act of writing. Many of the authors here explore the impact of technological innovation and mass culture on contemporary fiction, as well as the influence of various art forms on the way they imagine stories. The writers in The Notebooks speak candidly about their political engagement, their passion for writing, and their desire to produce art that will last. Contributors: Catherine Bush, Eliza Clark, Lynn Coady, Lynn Crosbie, Steven Heighton, Yann Martel, Derek McCormack, Hal Niedzviecki, Andrew Pyper, Michael Redhill, Eden Robinson, Russell Smith, Esta Spalding, Michael Turner, R.M. Vaughan, Michael Winter, Marnie Woodrow "These seventeen writers come from different backgrounds, different parts of the country, have different lifestyles, and write very different kinds of fiction, yet the connections between them are still plentiful. As a group they are highly engaged with the world around them, politically sophisticated, intelligent, modest about their potential success, and passionate about the act of writing. We hope that The Notebooks inspires an ongoing discussion with young writers at work and answers some of the silent questions that readers have longed to ask." -- From the Introduction

The book symbolizes the struggles Frankenstein faced. It takes the reader to the place Frankenstein began to show Mary Jane he was more than puny, remembering the pain it took to step away from friends and smoke alone for as long as the book reads. It takes place in a nature, where there was a sky to move with the peace where no one could see. The blues took Frankenstein under. He was smoking weed until he lost control. This book is about a teenager on a journey to wherever weed brings. He has not stopped smoking until all the money he had was spent, sleeping high, crashing to the ground, dreaming.
