Sefer Brantshpigl is an important Yiddish religious/ethical work first published in Cracow, 1596. It was reprinted six more times into the beginning of the eighteenth century and is an important source for the social and religious life of Central/East European Jewry in the Early Modern period. This volume is the first complete translation of this text into English with annotations and scholarly introduction. The author, Moshe Henochs Altschul-Yerushalmi was a member of what has become to be known as the "secondary intelligentsia." Little is known about his life, other than that he lived in Prague. His son, Henoch Altschul, was the Shamash of the Jewish community of Prague from 1603–1633. He examined all aspects of Jewish social and religious life in seventy-six chapters. Each chapter discusses a specific topic. Not only does he describe what is good and critiques what he finds to be lacking, but he buttresses his arguments with citations from the whole range of rabbinic literature. One aspect that is particularly interesting is his citation of kabbalistic sources in his arguments. He cites kabbalistic sources more than sixty times and even devotes a whole chapter to the kabbalistic night ritual of Tikkun Hazot.

On the Mexican-Arizona border two US border agents are murdered as they try to stop drugs from entering the country; in a convenience store parking lot in Las Vegas, Nevada, the wife of a private investigator is seriously wounded while sitting in her car waiting for her husband to buy milk to their baby; again in Nevada a father seeks help in freeing his daughter from the clutches of a drug lord; in Honolulu, Hawaii a family walks on the beach and discovers a vial of heroin washed ashore on the white sands, forever tainting their home in paradise. Seemingly the incidents are unrelated, yet they are enough alike to draw the Broken Dreams Detective Agency into the middle of a bloody, gang-related drug war. From the kidnapping and drugging of a Broken Dreams undercover agent, to the waylaying of a load of drugs intended for distribution in Las Vegas, to a tender love story, Broken Dreams finds their agency fighting four gangs who are waging war against each other to determine who will be the drug king in the greater Las Vegas valley. Watch out druggies, Broken Dreams is your worst nightmare.

Vinoba was a devout person. He was spirituality personified. His rigorous effort to explore and unearth the hidden values of these ancient scriptures led him to select one eight of the entire Rig-veda which contained its in-depth meaning. This was brought out in a book-form under the title 'Rig-veda-Sar (The essence of Rig-veda). Just few days before the end of his earthly sojourn, Vinoba underlined the importance of the selected eighty-three mantras (verses) from 'Rig-veda Sar' and suggested regular recitation of these mantras along with 'Gitai' (the Marathi rendition of the Bhagwad Gita). The publisher found his comments on some of them scattered in his voluminous literary works. These comments have been compiled and edited into a book titled 'Vedamrut' in Hindi and now translated in English. This is a small book, rich in spiritual wisdom handed down by one who exemplified the tradition of the Vedic seers in this modern material age. It is certain that even a small drop of this wisdom will benefit every one of us in our spiritual quest.

Our fundamental relationship is the one that we have with ourselves, master this and we master all else. We live in a world where stress and chronic disease are spiralling out of control. Our greatest need today is to learn how to relax and this begins with the mind. Wake Up and SOAR presents a clear and simple road map which empowers you to create a relaxed supportive lifestyle providing a stable base from which to pursue your heartfelt desires. The core tool S.O.A.R has its roots in ancient wisdom and is expressed as a modern day 'practice' to help us move from our 'normal' fear based state of mind to our 'natural' calm quality of mind, where we accept life as it is and therefore flow with her, rather than against her. First up is Step 1: Wake Up and SOAR, where Chris introduces the idea of 'quality of mind'. He then goes on to explain SOAR, the tool that allows you to return to your 'natural' quality of mind: S - Slow down O - Observe inwardly and connect with your breath A - Accept all that is arising without judgement R - Relax deeply and sense your inner peace of being In Step 2: Design a Life Which Flows, Chris explains how we are all attracting our lives towards us and gives further tools to create a supportive lifestyle. Lastly, in Step 3: Pursue Your Dreams, Chris introduces the Law of Magic which expresses your ability to dream and pursue those dreams, however large or small.
