The authors present a measurement of W/Z boson + jets production and Z p{sub T} measurement in the p{bar p} collisions at the Tevatron Collider at {radical}s = 1.96 TeV. The CDF II measures W + jets production based on 320 pb{sup -1} and the D0 Run II measures Z + jets with 950 pb{sup -1} data. The measurement of Z p{sub T} is performed with D0 Run II data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 960 pb{sup -1}. The measurement of W + jets is compared to the Leading Order Alpgen + Pythia prediction and the Z + jets is compared to Sherpa and Pythia Monte Carlo. The Z p{sub T} measurement is also compared to Resbos + Photos predictions.

Recent QCD jet production measurements in p{bar p} collisions at (square root)s = 1.96 TeV at the Tevatron Collider at Fermilab are presented. Preliminary: inclusive jet, dijet, isolated photon + jet and Z + jets measurements are compared to available perturbative QCD models.

Download Production of Jets at the Tevatron Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Measurements of the inclusive jet cross section and the dijet angular distribution using data from the Tevatron are presented Comparisons to NLO QCD show good agreement below 250 GeV, but CDF data show an excess at higher E{sub T}; qualitative agreement is seen between the CDF and D0 cross sections. Analysis of the dijet angular distributions exclude quark compositeness below 2.1 TeV.

Download Z + Jets Cross Section Ratio Measurements Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
We present a study of events with Z bosons and jets produced at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider in p{bar p} collisions at a center of mass energy of 1.96 TeV. The data sample consists of nearly 14,000 Z/[gamma]* 2!ee− candidates corresponding to the integrated luminosity of 340 pb−1 collected using the D0 detector. Ratios of the Z/[gamma]* + d"n jet cross sections to the total inclusive Z/[gamma]* cross section have been measured for n = 1 to 4 jet events. Our measurements are found to be in good agreement with a next-to-leading order QCD calculation and with a tree-level QCD prediction with parton shower simulation and hadronization.

The authors present recent results on high p{sub T} jets and photon production in {bar p}p collisions at a center of mass energy of 1.96 TeV. The measurements were performed by the CDF and D0 collaborations using between 150 and 300 pb{sup -1} of data taken during Run II at the Tevatron.

Download Review of Recent Tevatron Jet, W Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
This document reviews several recent measurements at the Fermilab Tevatron, including the cross sections of inclusive jet, dijet production, the cross sections of electroweak boson (W or Z) production in association with inclusive or heavy-flavor (b or c) jets, and b-jet shapes. In addition, searches for new physics using the dijet angular distributions are discussed. These analyses are based on integrated luminosities of 0.3--2.5/fb of p-{bar p} collisions at (square root)s = 1.96 TeV, collected with the CDF and D0 detectors. The results directly test the leading order and next-to leading order calculations of perturbative quantum chromodynamics and provide constraints on the parton distribution functions, gluon-splitting contribution, and physics beyond the standard model.

Download Jet Physics at Tevatron Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
An overview of Run I jet physics at the p{bar p} Fermilab Tevatron Collider with a particular emphasis on inclusive jet cross section measurements is given. The impact of these studies on PDFs constrain from global fits is underlined. Preliminary results on inclusive jet and di-jet mass cross section measurements in Run II are then summarized.

Both the D0 and CDF experiments at Fermilab Tevatron collider at[radical]s= 1.8 TeV have accumulated over 50pb[sup -1] of data. Each experiment collected more than 50,000 W[yields] l+v and 5000 Z[yields] l+[bar l] candidates for each lepton species (e and[mu]). Using this large data sample of W and Z candidates, the two experiments are actively testing perturbative QCD predictions. Among the studies that are in progress, preliminary results of W/Z+jets characteristics, multiplicity distributions of associated jets, and a study on the determination of the strong coupling constant using the ratio of the W+1 jet to W+ 0 jet cross sections are presented.
