The Book of Genesis invites us to take a peek into the very astounding process of creation. God planted the seed of existence in order to reap a harvest that He named water, sky, earth, and more. Unhesitatingly, God used three little words: "Let there be . . ." and, just like that, it was! No magician or witch has the ability to produce such results, only God. In Genesis 1:26, God said "Let Us make human beings in our image and likeness, and let them rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the tame animals, over all the earth, and over all the small crawling animals." Possessions are essentially for use on the Earth; there is no genuine comfort within them. The Holy Spirit was sent to comfort God's people, in every area of their lives, especially during this historic recession. However, life does not exist in the abundance of things you possess, but the Jesus that is in you. Real life with regard to seedtime and harvest can manifest itself with the influence of Christ on a believer's spirit, soul, and body. Every person has been given a special gift or talent by God with the potential to bring him wealth. We've all got to remember that God will take care of us in the midst of what is going on in the world today. We may be in a recession, but participating in it is our decision. God always has an abundant supply of whatever you need. Pray to Him, talk to Him, and spend time with Him. Then sit back, relax, and expect Him to do what He has promised in His Word. Normally, "church folks" look at seedtime as always being about money or finance. But, just like God did, we have the ability to plant seeds of wisdom, good deeds, love and kindness toward one another. All these seeds will be returned back to us in a harvest of new members in the Body of Christ. Genesis 1:27-28 explains God's creation of man and woman, and His exhortation that they be fruitful and fill the earth. Bishop Gaston clarifies the sowing and reaping process, applying its tenets to our lives today and bringing it home to our personal struggles in these hard times. He provides us with organized thinking about the many levels of meaning in the terms seedtime and harvest, leading us step by step from problem to solution. Its readability will lead you to enjoy Harvest Time: Reaping a Bountiful Life, but your "take away" will be its individualized outlines for each aspect of sowing and reaping. Follow the steps enumerated by Bishop Gaston, and reap your bountiful life in God! Brenda Husband, Evangelist City of Refuge, Church of God in Christ Oakland, California

This book will show you time tested steps to take as you move from a position of lack to the place of fulfillment. Why should you trust me as your guide? Like you, I have struggled through everyday challenges that made me doubt God and my ability to achieve anything in life. Inside, you will see how I dealt with rejection and other curved balls that we typically face in life. Also, I am committed to ministering to young people and have been in this ministry for the past 7 years. I have helped people through trying times being a shoulder to lean on, sharing in their tears and rejoicing when they reap their harvest. In all these years I have come to one conclusion: while no two people's trials are similar, the principles to get you to your harvest are the same. In this book you'll learn: how to recognize your seed in any given situation; the process of sowing your seed; how the seed changes you and the environment as you move closer to your harvest; how to deal with the little foxes that spoil the vine; how to remain joyful as the pressure to give up mounts against you; how to put in the sickle to reap your bountiful harvest; Bonus: Bringing it Home sections at the end of every chapter that summarize the key learning points as you move to the next chapter; Bonus: Confessions at the end of every chapter to help you implant in your heart the vital truths that would lead to your harvest. Book of Harvests Devotional is the third in a series about the principles of sowing and reaping in the Bible. The first book "Reaping-Recession Proof Approach to Gathering Bountiful Harvests," is a study of the biblical ideas, and how they apply to our everyday lives. There are plenty of footnotes to refer the scholars to the scriptures. And plenty of analysis and interpretation for the thoughtful. REAPING-Harvest Card Edition contains more exegesis, but this volume has more harvest cards. This book is an effort to publish the harvest promises that I have discovered, and to present them in a format that encourages study, praise, prayer, worship and hope."Reaping-Harvest Card Edition," is the second book I published about sowing and reaping. But this book has something the first book didn't have: harvest cards. But not all of them. Since the publication of this edition, I have "discovered" more promises in the Bible related to sowing and reaping, reaping a harvest. So how did I get to this volume, "Book of Harvests Devotional"? The true story centers around my very first book reading at a wonderful book store in Columbus, Ohio. There is a table in the back of the volume on recession-proof-reaping, that was the result of my research. It's not a really good table, and I questioned whether it should be in the book at all.So when I prepared my presentation, I took some of what I believed to be the most inspirational cards--"love" for example--and prepared to talk from those cards during the reading.During the presentation, when I finished with my 4x6 typed index card, I just threw it down on the little table in front of me.When the reading was concluded, and I stood talking to my listeners (and buyers!), first one, then another, then another, almost whispered, "May I have that card?"Of course they could! But my face was a question mark. More than one of them confessed, "That one spoke to me. It spoke to my heart. It was for me."I believe that's what God intended. As I have ministered from the book (I have a powerpoint presentation that I have preached from), I have discovered that the harvest cards (that's what I named them) are as appealing as the book!I have a friend who likes to place them near her computer at home. When she sits to work, her eyes often wander to a card, or cards, and she uses that time as a portion of her devotions.See where this is going? It has taken me some time, but I have amassed more cards, because I found more harvests in the Bible. More harvests that come from more sowing that God wanted us to know all about. So rather than just write another volume, I put together a volume on the subject that wrote itself. A shortcut for what is there in Scripture for all of us to see, and use, and from which we can grow and prosper.Enjoy!

"Life is lived in stages, seasons and times. The strength, depth, and reach of a life is dependent on the ability to maximize each season to its fullest capacity. Often, many live for the season of harvest, the time of fruits, progress, and results yet very few are willing to fully give themselves to the season of painful tilling, sowing, watering, nursing to yield a healthy bumper harvest. Many entrepreneurs, celebrities, ministers experience short term success not given themselves to the training that will propel their longevity in their arena of operation, they sprout out of a short season and wither away shortly". - Dr. Alex Opoku, Associate Professor, UCLA, London. In this book, the author captures and meticulously discusses the importance and the need for patience in achieving greatness and lasting success. We are in a generation of urgent, immediate and instantaneous results, we want everything to happen yesterday.Patience is becoming a rare commodity, we've lost the art and the glory of waiting, enduring and achieving lasting success, this book serves as a needed reminder and a guide to bring us back to the art of patience. The author uses his time on the farm as a young boy to teach the process from sowing to reaping, you don't reap immediately after you sow and the day you sow the seed is not the day you eat the fruit. This book will teach you how to sow your seed (ideas) and go through the process of reaping a bountiful harvest.

Do not deceive yourselves; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that sows in the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7-8) We can't get away from the principle of reaping what we sow. If we sow good seed, we anticipate a great harvest. But if we sow weeds, we'll harvest no more than we sowed. The same is true spiritually and practically. If we want a reward in heaven, we must live for Christ. On the other hand, if we lie, cheat, swear, steal, get drunk, use drugs, or otherwise fulfill the lusts of the flesh, the reality is we'll pay the consequences both now and in eternity. No matter how much society tries to convince us otherwise, this law has proven to be true without fail. This is the bright truth held before us in this little book – if we sow good seed, we will reap a great harvest. While sowing and caring for the seed sown isn't without work, the promise of a great harvest is what keeps us going and what brings joy to our labors. Be assured that it is not in vain to spend much time pruning, weeding, and carefully watching over the garden of your heart and the hearts of those you love.
