A commentary on the second half of the Last Discourse of Jesus. The author's explanation of the first half of the Discourse was given in "Looking for Jesus". In both books he gives a creative and vivid illustration of how Scripture reading can be done in an interesting, refreshingly different and spiritually helpful way. Each chapter takes into account traditional as well as contemporary Scriptural insight in the text and elevates it to the level of inspiring prayer in which the reader can participate.

Fr. Karol Wojtyla (Pope John Paul II’s name before he became the pontiff in 1978) published Love and Responsibility in 1960. It revealed his fully formed philosophy of marriage and sheds light on the dynamics between men and women. Some consider his analysis of the true meaning of human love as life changing and practical, shedding light on real issues between men and women. This updated and expanded edition of Edward Sri’s classic meditation on Pope John Paul II’s Love and Responsibility includes a new introduction, new chapters for single people and engaged couples, and maybe most importantly the stories of people whose lives have been transformed by Pope John Paul II’s foundational teaching on relationships. “Edward Sri is a gifted teacher and an equally talented writer. This book shows why. He breaks open Karol Wojtyla's great text, Love and Responsibility, in a way that's clear, engaging and very practical for the challenges of daily life.” – Charles J. Chaput, OFM, Archbishop of Philadelphia. In Men, Women and the Mystery of Love, Edward Sri breaks down the contents of John Paul’s epic work, making it more accessible to the reader. It isn’t a manual on sexual ethics, more so a no-nonsense discussion on issues we face as couples. He emphasizes the down-to-earth nature of Love and Responsibility, giving readers actionable advice on issues like: How to determine if a relationship is one of authentic love or is doomed to failure; The problem of pornography; The meaning of friendship; How to achieve greater intimacy in marriage; The difference between feeling “I’m in love” and love itself; and so many other valuable questions. While this book is a great personal resource, it also can be used in a variety of situations like small group studies, marriage preparation classes, and other parish settings. It offers valuable advice for just about everyone, from young single adults and engaged couples to newlyweds and couples celebrating their 35th anniversary. Study questions with each chapter make this a valuable resource not only for individual personal reading, but also for small group study.

Although we’ve been conditioned to think “middle-aged” is practically a four-letter word, the realities of women in midlife today are far different than what our mothers experienced. Women in their forties, fifties, and even sixties are feeling younger and living more vibrant lives. But influenced by our youth-obsessed culture, we fear that when we hit midlife, we stop being relevant and no longer have options—that it’s simply too late for us. Contradicting long-ingrained beliefs, Robi Ludwig draws on myth-busting data from scientific research and her experience as a therapist to show that midlife is not the beginning of your decline—it is actually a time to pursue your dreams. During midlife, you experience a second adolescence: a time to question authority, take risks, and reinvent yourself. In Your Best Age Is Now, Ludwig offers specific advice on how to change your perception of this life phase and make the best of it in every area of your life: • SELF-IMAGE: Identify the false thinking, stereo-types, and misconceptions that are holding you back. • RELATIONSHIPS: Take charge of your love life—whether married, partnered, or reentering the dating world. • WORK: Stay relevant in the workplace or start a new, exciting career. • HEALTH AND WELLNESS: Let go of stress, cultivate resilience, and create a more balanced life. • SPIRITUALITY: Find meaning and purpose while leading a life of gratitude. Your Best Age Is Now provides the guidance you need to reject the status quo, become more “you” than ever before, and find the kind of happiness you never thought possible. The Producer's Playbook reveals the Mystery of Love in 1 Corinthians 13:12 when acted upon: For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. The playbook is based on three premises about love: God is Love Love is Defined in 1 Corinthians 13 Love is Sovereign, each endowed with divine matter, act, and will. Based on the premises above, the Playbook explores how to reverse curses, integrate shadows, and act upon your true passion, pursuit, and purpose through the means of love defined. The playbook deep dives into the Origins of Spiritual Intelligence based on the true purpose of Lucifer's cosmic function as "bringer of light" in the duality between good and evil, setting a chain of events, namely the fierce faith of Eve, the true compassion of Adam, and the true love of God's son, Jesus Christ, in the alchemy of reversing the first curse that caused the first fall-- "God doubts my goodness." Based on the true story of Eve's choice to bite from the fruit, the playbook aims to deconstruct your alchemized shadows and reconstruct meaning and purpose when transforming your tragedy into The Love Story by way of love defined. About the Author Mingjie Zhai is Founding Producer of The Love Story Media, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization that produces programs that transform our personal tragedies into "The Love Story" by way of love defined in 1 Corinthians 13. George Whitefield (1714-70) was one of the best known and most widely travelled evangelical revivalists in the eighteenth century. For a time in the middle decades of the eighteenth century, Whitefield was the most famous person on both sides of the Atlantic. An Anglican clergyman, Whitefield soon transcended his denominational context as his itinerant ministry fuelled a Protestant renewal movement in Britain and the American colonies. He was one of the founders of Methodism, establishing a distinct brand of the movement with a Calvinist orientation, but also the leading itinerant and international preacher of the evangelical movement in its early phase. Called the 'Apostle of the English empire', he preached throughout the whole of the British Isles and criss-crossed the Atlantic seven times, preaching in nearly every town along the eastern seaboard of America. His own fame and popularity were such that he has been dubbed 'Anglo-America's first religious celebrity', and even one of the 'Founding Fathers of the American Revolution'. This collection offers a major reassessment of Whitefield's life, context, and legacy, bringing together a distinguished interdisciplinary team of scholars from both sides of the Atlantic. In chapters that cover historical, theological, and literary themes, many addressed for the first time, the volume suggests that Whitefield was a highly complex figure who has been much misunderstood. Highly malleable, Whitefield's persona was shaped by many audiences during his lifetime and continues to be highly contested.

Are you living as God's burning bush, without being consumed? Or might you be headed toward burnout? We will rediscover the blessing of this mutual love relationship with God, overflowing to others, as God's sheer gift. Could it be that the first and greatest commandment is for our greatest joy, and not some mysterious burden to fulfill? One metaphor is the vine and the branches from John 15:1-11. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches; apart from the vine the branch can do nothing. God wants to be our supply, our source, in an intimate encounter of the finite with the infinite. God was the source for these heroes of faith: Augustine of Hippo, Bernard of Clairvaux, Catherine of Siena, Ignatius of Loyola, John Calvin, and Teresa of Avila. Using a descriptive process called the Classic Three Ways, including the purgative (letting go), illuminative (seeing with the heart), and unitive (intimacy), dating back to around 500 CE, we now add a fourth way, the unitive/active (the dance). From that dance of mutual love, ministry overflows. We do it together; it is participatory, humankind following God's lead. It's not a formula. It's our living God!
