Edmund died in 1663 in Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. His descendant, Asa (Noble) Rice (1795-ca. 1880) and his wife Sally (Melendy), emigrated from Vermont to Canada ca. 1817 and eventually settled in Wakefield Township, Quebec. Descendants live throughout Canada and the United States.
