Gaia’s Lost Children is a politically conservative sci-fi novel of a near-term dystopian future. In the story, the Extinction Reversal Corp. (ERC) genetically engineers and reintroduces the recently extinct moas, woolly mammoths, and passenger pigeons species to the Earth’s environment. Unfortunately, these reintroductions unsettle the Global Union (GU), a carefully balanced, all-encompassing world government. In reaction, the members of the ERC are banished to a huge space habitat located equal distance from the Earth and Moon. A later attempt at further punishment leads the space exiles to rebel. The novel follows two childhood friends, Peter Tanaka and Ivar Hardford, as they try to navigate the turmoil in the GU. Peter joins the ERC and becomes a leader of the space exiles. Ivar establishes himself as the head of a mercenary band used as off-the-books government enforcers. Peter and Ivar end as mortal enemies on opposite sides of the space rebellion.

The Hand That Offers Peace There is no peace in the World of Darkness "RM," but the Children of Gaia would change that. From the tribe's origins in Mesopotamia to their hidden efforts in the war-torn modern world, the Children have always tried to promote healing and unity. As werewolves, they know it's their duty to fight the last battles of the Apocalypse -- but their love of life is their strength. Gaia willing, it won't prove a weakness as well. And the Claw That Protects It The next in the revised Tribebook series examines the Children of Gaia -- the werewolves that strive to heal as well as kill, protect as well as destroy. This expanded and revised edition outlines all the strengths and weaknesses of the tribe, from their vast healing powers to the conflict between their desire for peace and the instincts that drive them to hunt and slay.

"Gaia Servadio was not the first person to fall under the spell of the tiny island off the coast of Sicily, revealed as the site of one of the great centres of Phoenician civilization. Once a city teeming with over fifteen thousand inhabitants, Motya - just across the Mediterranean from Carthage - was destroyed by the Greeks in 397 BC after an extended siege. Its inhabitants were massacred, its buildings left to rot." "By the late nineteenth century those buildings had long since disappeared under the sands. English amateur archaeologist Joseph Whitaker bought the island and began digging, with the result that Motya has yielded a stream of discoveries - buildings, pottery and statuary - and is now the major source of our knowledge of the Phoenicians." "Motya is the magical story of that discovery."--BOOK JACKET.Title Summary field provided by Blackwell North America, Inc. All Rights Reserved
