The Lausanne Movement has since 1974 functioned as a platform and forum for Evangelical leaders from various geographical and confessional strands. This year it will celebrate its 40th anniversary. This volume brings together voices about both The Lausanne Movement and on the Cape Town Congress in 2010. It gives a broad perspective on the development of and reflection on mission and evangelism among Evangelicals, with a particular focus on the Lausanne movement. It contains chapters about the historical, theological and missiological background and discusses key issues and concepts of Lausanne as they have emerged over the years since 1974. It offers links to and reflections on Cape Town and on Lausanne. Critical views of Cape Town and Lausanne are also included, aiming at opening up a dialogue with other views on evangelism and mission. This book illustrates the development and achievement of the Lausanne Movement for World Evangelization which is an important part of modern Christian history of mission and evangelism. I warmly recommend this collection of essays to envision the future of world evangelization. Olav Fykse Tveit, General Secretary of the World Council of Churches This book is an important one, because Lausanne matters, not only as historical moments but as an ongoing, quiet and powerful movement of God's Spirit. Newly updated, revised edition. A complete missionary manual for evangelical missionaries. Missionary Methods is an enduring classic, a how-to that every single missionary should read, as well as any lay person who desires to be a useful part of the body of Christ. The author, Roland Allen, takes a thorough look at the practice and principle of arguably the most successful church planter in history, the biblical apostle Paul. Every missionary difficulty and success can be found in Acts and the apostle Paul's letters, which cover such topics as training, discipleship, finances, and sustainability. The "methods" are built on the foundation of a relationship with God, salvation through Christ, and the indwelling and leading of the Holy Spirit.

Giving generously, even sacrificially, is part of radical Christian discipleship. In this booklet, John Sott takes us through the Apostle Paul's teaching on giving. The Didasko Files RESOURCES FROM THE LAUSANNE MOVEMENT The Lausanne Movement is a confessional movement that seeks to articulate the role of today's Church. It links together evangelical movements around the world, and is the largest representative gathering of the Church. The Didasko Files is a growing series--that takes its name from the New Testament Greek verb didasko, meaning "I teach"--used by those involved with the Lausanne Movement. These books are meant to serve the world's Church by helping Christians to grow in their faith.

Linking . . . Blending . . . Intermixing with Divine Purpose People are on the move. As individuals and people groups are constantly migrating, the unreached have become part of our communities. This reality provides local Christ-followers with the challenge and opportunity of navigating both the global diaspora and mixed ethnicities. A Hybrid World is the product of a global consultation of church and mission leaders who discussed the implications of hybridity in the mission of God. The contributors draw from their collective experiences and perspectives, explore emerging concepts and initiatives, and ground them in authoritative Scripture for application to the challenges that hybridity presents to global missions. This book honestly wrestles with the challenges of ethnic hybridity and ultimately encourages the global church to celebrate the opportunities that our sovereign and loving God provides for the world’s scattered people to be gathered to himself.
