Celia is a ten-year-old Roman girl and lives in Jerusalem with her brother Brutus. He has lots of mean friends. They love teasing girls, including Celia and her friend Hannah. She is Jewish and helps Celia understand about someone called the Messiah. To Celia, it seems like the entire city is waiting for him. Then one night when Celia is in the olive grove, picking some for dinner, she has a visitor. This visitor is not another friend, or her brother, but a supernatural one. She is the Easter Angel. At first Celia denies it. She can't work out what's happening until there is another visit and she invites Celia to a special Passover meal. One that Jesus is attending.Celia has heard of Jesus before but has never seen him as the angel takes her to a building in the city. There are other guests and amongst them all Celia recognizes Jesus. It's the way he looks at her--as if into her soul, healing all her insecurities about being liked and accepted. They meet the next day for his trial and the walk to Calvary where Celia spots lots of other angels, some taller and brighter, all lining the stone road. Their accumulative light so dazzling she has to blink. Then at three o'clock the sun turns blood red, leaving the crowds shocked as an eerie wind sweeps over Jerusalem, shaking the wooden shutters, doors and the rusty iron gates to the city. Afterwards the angel informs Celia that she will return in two more days and she does, just in time for Celia to witness the greatest miracle. Jesus is no longer dead and with the angel's help she learns about other miracles and the two new ones that are waiting for her and her family...

In this coloring book, you will find charming illustrations of Easter angels from famous illustrators of the past, reproduced true to original in light grayscale, perfect for realistic coloring and art therapy relaxation. The advantage of grayscale coloring over regular line art coloring is that it allows you using the existing shadows for guidance. General rule for grayscale coloring is simply to apply light colors over light gray areas, medium colors over medium gray areas and dark colors over dark gray areas. Illustrations are reproduced without hard outlines for the opportunity to color them as actual artwork and be proud to cut out and display after finishing. In addition to coloring, this book allows you to practice drawing, shading, and tracing based on the artwork of master illustrators. Coloring sheets are one-sided and blank on the back so they can be cut out for display or separate coloring.
