What does it mean to be free? It is one thing to be rescued, another to be free.Freedom, in its original form, is the most costly state to be reached and accomplished in our human experience. To be rescued is one thing, to be free is another; one can be done by a hand of others, the other needs to be discovered within oneself by realizing the Truth. In one side, there is a cage with a wide-open door giving access to liberty and sky- on the other, is a slaved bird, not being able to fly due to its damaged mental state. When it comes to freedom, what is the cost to be set free? Is it by the result of a revolt or a change of heart? In the real sense, the greatest revolution, young or old, is in the transformation of one's heart into its original form and the choice lies in where we decide to stand. I have collaborated this book with two inmates from the Twin Tower Correctional Facility Jail in Los Angeles who helped me with the illustrations and the cover. The Bird from the Kingdom of Heaven is meant to take you to our original state, freedom and love.

Download Evangelical Theology Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Evangelical Theology is a systematic theology written from the perspective of a biblical scholar. Michael F. Bird contends that the center, unity, and boundary of the evangelical faith is the evangel (= gospel), as opposed to things like justification by faith or inerrancy. The evangel is the unifying thread in evangelical theology and the theological hermeneutic through which the various loci of theology need to be understood. Using the gospel as a theological leitmotif—an approach to Christian doctrine that begins with the gospel and sees each loci through the lens of the gospel—this text presents an authentically evangelical theology, as opposed to an ordinary systematic theology written by an evangelical theologian. According to the author, theology is the drama of gospelizing—performing and living out the gospel in the theatre of Christian life. The text features tables, sidebars, and questions for discussion. The end of every part includes a “What to Take Home” section that gives students a run-down on what they need to know. And since reading theology can often be dry and cerebral, the author applies his unique sense of humor in occasional “Comic Belief” sections so that students may enjoy their learning experience through some theological humor added for good measure.

A masterful new translation of one of Kierkegaard's most engaging works In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells his followers to let go of earthly concerns by considering the lilies of the field and the birds of the air. Søren Kierkegaard's short masterpiece on this famous gospel passage draws out its vital lessons for readers in a rapidly modernizing and secularizing world. Trenchant, brilliant, and written in stunningly lucid prose, The Lily of the Field and the Bird of the Air (1849) is one of Kierkegaard's most important books. Presented here in a fresh new translation with an informative introduction, this profound yet accessible work serves as an ideal entrée to an essential modern thinker. The Lily of the Field and the Bird of the Air reveals a less familiar but deeply appealing side of the father of existentialism—unshorn of his complexity and subtlety, yet supremely approachable. As Kierkegaard later wrote of the book, "Without fighting with anybody and without speaking about myself, I said much of what needs to be said, but movingly, mildly, upliftingly." This masterful edition introduces one of Kierkegaard's most engaging and inspiring works to a new generation of readers.

The Kingdom of God Come Upon You By: Richard Charles Carlson Author Richard Charles Carlson wrote this book for you to understand why things happen in this world whether it is good or bad. He wants other people to be happy and to accept others for who they are with love. You should have no room in your heart to hate anyone. Carlson’s main focus is to try to have a better understanding of what the Bible is all about from the beginning to the end. He uses scripture to show proof of his belief through faith of why people exist and our purpose. In the book, Carlson writes about the events before and after this universe was created. His main focus is on Jesus Christ and the war with Satan for people to understand good and evil and to then know good and evil by examining themselves. Carlson finds that everything in the Bible is very important, from the beginning to the end. He refers to it as “Jesus’ Book.” He discovers more about God’s kingdom by revelations through visage, dreams, and even through other people. Carlson sees the power of God’s kingdom through the peace in his heart that can only come from Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Carlson desires to bless his Father in the Highest of Heaven and gain more born-again children in His house. His Father wants all His children to have the knowledge of the wisdom of God, to join with Him in eternal life in Paradise forever. Carlson explains what kind of choice you want in life to be happy and how to rejoice forever. Within this book, Carlson keeps a humble state of mind while writing about his testimonies of confessions, to live without guilt and shame, and to continually praise the Lord Jesus Christ with a clean mind. He wants you to live your life to the Most High God Almighty and to be happy as well.

Download Common Sense Atheism Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
For some atheists, it's enough to simply not believe in God. Some people believe, but you don't. And that's OK.Other atheists, however, find themselves constantly being asked to justify why they don't believe in God, to explain how they can possibly have morals without believing in God, to respond to various arguments that supposedly prove the existence of God, to acknowledge that America was founded as a "Christian" nation, etc. And if you don't have a background in philosophy, formal logic, comparative religions, ancient history, and various scientific fields, it can be a bit daunting to attempt to respond to questions and assertions like these.Well, fear not! "Common Sense Atheism" is a collection of original essays that address these issues and many others in clear and easy to understand language, with just a dollop of humor to make it all go down smoothly. These essays will help you understand and explain to others why a lack of belief in God really is the only rational choice. After all, you shouldn't need a PhD to defend your lack of belief.
