Excerpt from Feed Situation: February 1966 Prices received by farmers for feed grains advanced 11 percent from November 1965 to January 1966 when they averaged close to those in January 1965. Prices of each of the h feed grains are now above the 1965 loan rates which will tend to limit the total quantity of the grains placed under the price support program. Feed grain prices have advanced more than seasonally this winter despite the record 1965 production. The rise in prices apparently has been largely the result of a strong domestic and export demand together with relatively small market receipts of corn.
