William Johnson was born Oct. 25, 1789 in Pattersons Creek, Virginia (later West Virginia). He married Elizabeth Taylor (1795-1828) in 1813. He married Elizabeth Dye (1807-1869) in 1830. He died in 1871 in Tyler County, West Virginia. Includes information on ancestors and descendants as well as reminiscences about William by various descendants. "The Twenty- fifth" became a yearly family reunion day from 1859-1871 to celebrate William's birthday. It was also used as the name of a family periodical.
