And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (NKJV) Being wealthy isn't about having lots of worldly possessions. Wealth isn't dependent on whether you have enough money to buy the next pair of shoes or to go out to dinner every night. It's about being abundant in wisdom, faith, courage, truth, and humility. It's about receiving the blessings God has to offer you and sharing them with others. It's about storing up your treasures in heaven. Teresa Richenberger knows how to gather these riches of Christ. Using examples from her own life, Teresa will show you how to take advantage of everything that God is offering you. Whether you're at the water park with your family, trying to please your boss, or striking up a conversation with the checkout lady, Striking It Rich gives you advice on how to always be aware of God's presence. This guide is littered with gold nuggets for you to pick up and take with you on your journey. Soon, you too will be full of His glorious riches and sharing those riches with others!

Download Gold Diggers Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Between 1896 and 1899, thousands of people lured by gold braved a grueling journey into the remote wilderness of North America. Within two years, Dawson City, in the Canadian Yukon, grew from a mining camp of four hundred to a raucous town of over thirty thousand people. The stampede to the Klondike was the last great gold rush in history. Scurvy, dysentery, frostbite, and starvation stalked all who dared to be in Dawson. And yet the possibilities attracted people from all walks of life—not only prospectors but also newspapermen, bankers, prostitutes, priests, and lawmen. Gold Diggers follows six stampeders—Bill Haskell, a farm boy who hungered for striking gold; Father Judge, a Jesuit priest who aimed to save souls and lives; Belinda Mulrooney, a twenty–four–year–old who became the richest businesswoman in town; Flora Shaw, a journalist who transformed the town's governance; Sam Steele, the officer who finally established order in the lawless town; and most famously Jack London, who left without gold, but with the stories that would make him a legend. Drawing on letters, memoirs, newspaper articles, and stories, Charlotte Gray delivers an enthralling tale of the gold madness that swept through a continent and changed a landscape and its people forever.

Download Strike for the Common Good Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
In February 2018, 35,000 public school educators and staff walked off the job in West Virginia. More than 100,000 teachers in other states—both right-to-work states, like West Virginia, and those with a unionized workforce—followed them over the next year. From Arizona, Kentucky, and Oklahoma to Colorado and California, teachers announced to state legislators that not only their abysmal wages but the deplorable conditions of their work and the increasingly straitened circumstances of public education were unacceptable. These recent teacher walkouts affirm public education as a crucial public benefit and understand the rampant disinvestment in public education not simply as a local issue affecting teacher paychecks but also as a danger to communities and to democracy. Strike for the Common Good gathers together original essays, written by teachers involved in strikes nationwide, by students and parents who have supported them, by journalists who have covered these strikes in depth, and by outside analysts (academic and otherwise). Together, the essays consider the place of these strikes in the broader landscape of recent labor organizing and battles over public education, and attend to the largely female workforce and, often, largely non-white student population of America’s schools.
