In 1963 I learned to type in a verymight I say Controlled Environment called IGS Little did I know how much I would love to type. 100wpm error free became my passion and favorite pastime. Years later, sitting at an old manual typewriter I bought at a garage sale for $5.00, That little machine became my best friend, As I journeyed through what I now know as being my journey of healing and reflection. Writing was an incredible outlet for me. I loved it, and still do! Today many of those typewritten pages are yellowed and tattered, They hold prophetic truths that I embrace to this day. The next few pages are dedicated to those seasons in my life. All, and I do mean ALL, inspired by real people and real situations. To my husband, my son, my God given sisters, family and friends Who listened and supported me totally along the way I sincerely say Thank You for being breeze beneath my wings. A special thank you to my photographer ?

This book was conceptualized from feedback received from readers of my Facebook page, Daily Food for Soul and Spirit which started in 2016, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It provides inspiration to those who are hurting, confused, or weary of life’s troubles, pointing them to Jesus – the Author and Finisher of our faith. It is hoped that through these devotions, souls will be saved, hearts will experience revival and hope renewed.

Download Bodies and Souls, or Spirited Bodies? Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Are humans composed of a body and a nonmaterial mind or soul, or are we purely physical beings? Opinion is sharply divided over this issue. In this clear and concise book, Nancey Murphy argues for a physicalist account, but one that does not diminish traditional views of humans as rational, moral, and capable of relating to God. This position is motivated not only by developments in science and philosophy, but also by biblical studies and Christian theology. The reader is invited to appreciate the ways in which organisms are more than the sum of their parts. That higher human capacities such as morality, free will, and religious awareness emerge from our neurobiological complexity and develop through our relation to others, to our cultural inheritance, and, most importantly, to God. Murphy addresses the questions of human uniqueness, religious experience, and personal identity before and after bodily resurrection.
