Download Soul and Substance Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
A collection of new and startlingly original essays from an acclaimed poet, essayist, and playwright Jay Wright is widely recognized as one of the most important American poets of the past half century. But in recent years, he has also written a series of unconventional essays that he calls “examination papers,” which he defines as “designated inquiries to myself.” In these linked essays, most of which resemble prose-poems, with only a few lines set on each page, Wright explores abiding artistic and philosophical concerns, including language, aesthetic form, knowledge, time, and death. Soul and Substance presents these pieces for the first time. Drawing on everything from African mythology to mathematical axioms, Wright reflects on a wide range of topics: the difficulties of defining and confronting death; the challenge of transcending one’s own consciousness; the nature of rhythm and the structure of space; and the relationship among the self, the body, and the material world. Throughout, the book examines the limits of human knowledge and the implications of our always imperfect understanding. Experimental and original, Soul and Substance is an important addition to the work of a major writer.

When is the last time you thought about the state of your soul? Bestselling author John Ortberg guides you through practical steps to restoring your soul so you can finally experience a life of wholeness, balance, and hope. In an age of materialism and consumerism where many people try to buy their way to happiness, many souls are starved and unhealthy, unsatisfied by false promises of status and wealth. We've neglected this eternal part of ourselves, focusing instead on the temporal concerns of the world--and not without consequence. Including reflections from his decades-long relationship with his friend and mentor Dallas Willard, Ortberg presents another classic that will help you discover your soul--the most important connection to God there is--and find your way out of the spiritual shallow-lands to true divine depth. Join Ortberg as he guides you through the three distinct aspects of Soul Keeping: Discovering what the soul is Learning what the soul needs Experiencing the joy of a restored soul With his characteristic insight and an accessible, story-filled approach, Ortberg will help you connect more deeply every day with the God who gave you life to bring more meaning, hope, and abundance to that life. Praise for Soul Keeping: "This book will not only help you to realize that you have a soul, an interior life, and reveal its importance, but will also give you some tools and handles to grab as you develop that life. It will help you to get grounded again, or even for the first time, with the One who first breathed that life into you, and Who desires every day to breathe more and more life into every corner of your being." --Dr. Henry Cloud, New York Times bestselling author of Boundaries and Changes That Heal

As Foucault once identified a politics that centers on the body and another that classifies and organizes the human population, Hacking has now provided a masterful description of the politics of memory: the scientizing of the soul and the wounds it can receive.

Download Reconstruction of the Planetary Soul Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
"Reconstruction of the Planetary Soul" is the first book, where we explore what it truly means to be a planetary human on this planet. In the previous three books, we looked at our reality field from the perspective of the stellar races, but in this book we begin the journey into the true humanity of this planet and the solar system, we are part of. The book looks into what is necessary to meet the requirements of the gathered LPU our reality field is in the process of joining. To meet the requirements, the chakra system has to hold a specific level of light, i.e. the light quotient. The same light quotient is needed to be able to reconstruct the planetary soul; both the planetary templar as well as the individual human soul. From this level of light, we can re-gain our access to the racial timelines and the 12 different root races our planetary templar is able to develop and progress by the use of the consciousness proper to this system.
