Profoundlessly Simple (PB): A Poetic Compilation of Verse by K.E. Long Profoundlessly Simple: A Poetic Compilation of Verse, is K. E. Long’s first collection of poetry. His poetry and prose are far from traditional. They are the heartfelt adaptation of words and perspectives accumulated and experienced over the years; some words of happiness, some words of sadness, some words of love, and some words of love lost. He even included some words of silliness, corniness, and levity. (2017, Paperback, 148 pages)

Imagine with me. If you will, you are a child in an abusive family situation. Late one night, you are called down from your bed and beat terribly. The beating was not the first time and, more than likely, not the last. The abuser sends you back to your bed with a broken and bruised body and spirit. Looking forward to what life holds for you, you see a grim future and nothing good happening. You have finally climbed those fifteen steps, reached your bed, lay down, and suffered. Then out of the attic walk these creatures. You are not sure what or who they are, but they are the same shape as you. They are all white, have hands, feet, eyes, mouth, and nose. They are no taller than you. What would you call them? Me, I call them my Little White People. Now, this is not the first time they have come out to visit. And like any child, when they walk toward the bed, you cover up your head. But this time you are not afraid. When they come over, you have decided to touch and walk with them. Somehow, they take your pain away just because you decided to join them. Imagine now being gently pushed toward the attic door. Somehow one of the Little White People transforms the door, which leads to...? You are not sure, but you are willing to take a step, hoping for something better. Imagine what might be if only a little boy reached out to touch a finger.

Omniconomics shows how we can make human society intrinsically sustainable, harmonically embedded in nature, with the help of a completely new approach in which traditional economics is transformed. Citing the fallacies of existing economic approaches as directly responsible for many of the environmental and social threats faced by society today, Niko Roorda presents a new, interdisciplinary science: omniconomics. This framework has its foundations in an innovative, joined-up approach, in which all aspects of the natural and social sciences are inextricably linked. It will better allow for new solutions to tackling urgent issues, including climate change, deforestation, environmental and economic inequality, dehumanization, and crumbling social cohesion. Inspiring new thinking, this book aims to: Inspire a public, scientific and political debate about the role of present-day economics, its status as no more than a protoscience, and the consequences for (inter)national policies and developments Stimulate independent, out-of-the-box thinking of students, graduates, politicians, leaders of society, and any member of the public who worries about the major present-day problems and the future Stimulate interdisciplinary research within universities towards the creation of an omniconomic science that will replace the discipline of economics and will become a genuine, mature science Challenge the readers to go beyond short- or middle-to-long term solutions such as the Sustainable Development Goals and circular economy: Omniconomics starts where Doughnut economics ends Encouraging the reader to rethink accepted economic approaches to deal with the present-day threats of global catastrophes, this book will be of great interest to students and scholars of sustainable development, sustainability economics and policies, as well as any practitioners working in related fields.

I was born in London, England in the early 1960’s and moved to America in July 1979. I visited Orlando, Florida in 1980 and made it my home. I started to lose my sight at the age of 32 during my seventh month of pregnancy, due to a combination of preeclampsia and diabetic retinopathy. In December 2008, I met Bruce Wayne Riddle in out-of-sight.net, a chat community for the blind. Bruce inspired and encouraged me to write “The Silent Fear”, a novel, which brings forth the corruption and manipulation of the judicial world. It portrays a man’s lust for power, the influence of alcohol and how he finds himself with an inherited abusive nature, even to those he loves. While one brother drives to the top, The Silent Fear has a heartfelt message of one Uncle’s unconditional love and compassion for his nephew and the extreme lengths he is willing to go to in order to protect the child. You will experience the powerful scales of justice. Also, you will experience the love and concern of the characters, along with the sudden twists an explosive and unpredictable ending. Bruce died October 2nd 2009, two days after reading the final chapter. I will cherish his memory forever. Go to jbheart.net to find out the story behind my pen name.
