This booklet summarizes the history of the Saemaul Undong in the 1970s. This booklet is released prior to the publication of all the Saemaul history of the 1970s. With the success of the Saemaul Undong during this period, the Republic of Korea cast off hunger and emerged as a prosperous nation. We, Koreans, surprised ourselves and surprised the world. Although advanced science is advancing day by day, the world is still overflowing with people suffering from hunger and disease. Even today, they are making every effort to get out of that poverty and disease. Many foreigners visit the Saemaeul site in Korea to confirm and benchmark the success story of the Saemaul Undong.
