I have received applications for the following drains and they have been granted: East Branch of Big Marsh, South Branch of Walter Socks, Arnold, Welch, Honey Creek, HalfMoon Lake and Dexter No. 3. These will be taken care of as soon as possible. The following named Drains have been applied for, but not established, during the year, for the reasons given in each instance, to-wit: Dexter No. 1 was dropped for lack of signatures. Dexter N0. 2 could not be laid without Dexter No. 1, as that is its outlet. ' Dexter No. 3. Drain application was withdrawn and a new petition gotten out. Stoney Creek Drain is a joint petiLion between Monroe and Washtenaw, as the Washtenaw Commissioner was against and the Monroe Com missionor for it, it lies dormant unless taken to the Highway Department by one or the other of these Commissioners. The Monroe Commissioner has expressed his intention of carrying it there.
