Under the constitution of India, governor plays the role of executive head of the state. He is appointed by the President on the recommendations of the Central Government. Constitution of India gives wide powers in the hands of governor. Governor plays an important role under Article 356 of the Constitution of India. Governor generally remains in controversy by the use of this article.
